The following table compares JLin stats this year through 1/9 (Bold) to Steve Nash his first 6 years. This is NOT to compare JLin to Steve Nash as if he is or ever will be Steve Nash. This is simply to compare JLin's current numbers to a known great PG in his early years. Steve Nash started in only 2 games his first year, then 9,40,27,70 and finally 82 games in 2001-2002. His MPG as a starter were Jlin's current numbers in 2000-2001. All of this is to say that there is a LOT being asked of JLin at the moment. He is starting all games this year, racking up averages of 33 MPG and delivering a LOT. In comparison Steve Nash (a PG STAR) had 4-5 years to build to this level of MPG and starter expectations. Basically I am saying give the kid some time. Who knows what a few years will bring. <TABLE> <table border="1" CELLSPACING="5"> <TR> <TH>Age</TH> <TH>Year</TH> <TH>MPG</TH> <TH>FG%</TH> <TH>3P%</TH> <TH>FT%</TH> <TH>RPG</TH> <TH>APG</TH> <TH>SPG</TH> <TH>BPG</TH> <TH>PPG</TH> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD> <B>24</B> </TD> <TD><B>2012-13</B> </TD> <TD><B>33.3</B> </TD> <TD><B>0.42</B> </TD> <TD><B>0.24</B> </TD> <TD><B>0.8</B> </TD> <TD><B>3.89</B> </TD> <TD><B>6.28</B> </TD> <TD><B>2.03</B> </TD> <TD><B>0.42</B> </TD> <TD><B>12.25</B> </TD> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD>23</TD> <TD>1996–97</TD> <TD>10.5</TD> <TD>0.423</TD> <TD>0.418</TD> <TD>0.824</TD> <TD>1</TD> <TD>2.1</TD> <TD>0.3</TD> <TD>0</TD> <TD>3.3</TD> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD>24</TD> <TD>1997–98</TD> <TD>21.9</TD> <TD>0.459</TD> <TD>0.415</TD> <TD>0.86</TD> <TD>2.1</TD> <TD>3.4</TD> <TD>0.8</TD> <TD>0.1</TD> <TD>9.1</TD> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD>25</TD> <TD>1998–99</TD> <TD>31.7</TD> <TD>0.363</TD> <TD>0.374</TD> <TD>0.826</TD> <TD>2.9</TD> <TD>5.5</TD> <TD>0.9</TD> <TD>0.1</TD> <TD>7.9</TD> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD>26</TD> <TD>1999–00</TD> <TD>27.4</TD> <TD>0.477</TD> <TD>0.403</TD> <TD>0.882</TD> <TD>2.2</TD> <TD>4.9</TD> <TD>0.7</TD> <TD>0.1</TD> <TD>8.6</TD> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD>27</TD> <TD>2000–01</TD> <TD>34.1</TD> <TD>0.487</TD> <TD>0.406</TD> <TD>0.895</TD> <TD>3.2</TD> <TD>7.3</TD> <TD>1</TD> <TD>0.1</TD> <TD>15.6</TD> </TR> <TR ALIGN="CENTER"> <TD>28</TD> <TD>2001–02</TD> <TD>34.6</TD> <TD>0.483</TD> <TD>0.455</TD> <TD>0.887</TD> <TD>3.1</TD> <TD>7.7</TD> <TD>0.6</TD> <TD>0.1</TD> <TD>17.9</TD> </TR> </TABLE>
I just learn how to do ignore list. Nice feature. LOF should do it. LOH should do it as well. Then we can have healthy discussions. Peace.
Comparing to a known great PG to show that even a GREAT PG took time to get there. Who knows what JLin will do. But if GREAT PG needed several years to reach his potential I believe it is only reasonable to let JLin have some years too. I forget that the bulk of people on forums are just here for flame wars and attention. I will not respond further. Take my post as it is and trash it if it makes you happy.
I don't know why Clutch doesn't want to close this thread even though Dei, the OP, requested it to be closed....that's very puzzing to me. The title of this thread is so demeaning to Jeremy. Jlin is a decent person and does not deserve this kind of insult. He is not jerk or a prima donna. Give him at least the respect for being a decent human being. I don't care if you pick apart his game because that's what a forum is for. But to dedicate a thread with an insulting title is baffling to me. I firmly believe that Clutch should have not approve the title in the first place. Sorry for my English but I hope you get the point of what I am trying to say.
haha, good for you. but i won't do that, cause i want to ignore stupid posts on 'informed' basis. this is internet, it is so easy to ignore certain posts you don't like, simply no response. and from time to time everyone, including haters, might produce sth wise or fun
What happened to Lowry? Poor guy, no love for him from the coach. Here is his today's stat. Kyle Lowry 16:54 0-4 0-1 0-0 -13 0 2 6 1 1 0 2 0 0 Zero points. What a waste of talent? Lin is lucky.
good point! on the other hand, this thread will also become a constant reminder of how biased and unfair this place or some ppl once was or still is.
im confused when Lin has a good game everybody likes him but when he has a bad game everybody hates him?
exactly some people tend to forget that. this site is REALLY tamed compared to other forums out there. No need to go out and respond to everyone who doesn't agree with you, you don't agree to it? move on. Nobody is forcing you to respond. el gnomo u mad? lolol
It's more like haters come out when Lin plays poorly and are no where to be found when he plays good. Regardless of Lin's play, his fans are always here, rain or shine.
Clutch, Dei already requested to closed this thread please let us know why you haven't done so. Thank you.
to be fair, you said HIS fans. thats where the community becomes separated. there are rockets fans, and then there are Lin fans. Don't forget asik gets a lot of heat in these threads along with 2pat. people even want 2pat traded already.
