Douglas played decent defense on Nash you can't possibly block those fadaways Nash takes. U just hope they don't go in.
I don't know whether it will be the all time most viewed thread, but every time I come to the Clutchfans homepage, and I (constantly) see this thread among the "Forum Hot Topics" section, it never fails to bring a smile (and often, a good chuckle) to my face
I have seen him play a lot. In Pheonix last season he wasn't as aggressive at looking for his shot as he was last night. Pheonix beat writers & Sun fans used to complain because they wanted him to shoot more but he refused. There is a reason why Magic went on twitter yesterday saying that we need more scoring from Nash. Nash is strictly pass first. If you even watched the Lakers a few times this season you would see that usually the only time he shoots is when he is wide open from deep. Not always the case but the vast majority of it.
Why do people keep bumping this thread. If he sucks someone bumps this thread. If he is good someone bumps this thread. Since December he is averaging about 14-6 at 48% which is good enough for this team.
Concur - he hit at least one on Lin also. Amazing Nash still can play like this at 39. Wondering if he taking PED.
If Jeremy Lin is going to cough up the ball a lot, better for him to do it this year and get it out of his system.
Trust me, this is an immortal thread. Even if / when Jeremy becomes an All Star, people will keep bumping this thread. Heck, even I will want to bump this thread. Does serve as quite good light amusement
Nash was definitely aggressive in looking for his shots this game, and he seemed to have a higher motor on defense as well. Never seen him so alive, he really looked dominant when he was playing which is amazing for someone his age.
For the sake of history. Records should be preserved. Plus when Lin has a bad night it gives people a go to thread to shred him and keep score.
If you go to the Lakers forum, there is a thread started 17 years ago titled "This kid Kobe Bryant is a Joke". It was started by someone calling himself "Pops Dei". It now is over 1000 pages long and is an immortal thread. I want to thank the guy who started this thread for giving us something of our own that the storied Laker organization also has.
Something that probably only amuses me. Someone put up a QFTOS thread after the Cavs game, so I went over to check it out. There were some discussions regarding Irving turning the ball over 8 times. And everyone was in agreement that Irving needs to take care of the ball better. Mind you, this is their franchise player we're talking about, after a 30pt game, after a game-winning shot the night before. Fast forward to the Lakers game. Jeremy Lin has 7 TOs along with a pretty good game. A couple of mentions of TOs later, results in pages of responses regarding both Lin's other contributions, as well as the idea that TOs are useless. It's interesting to see the contrast in attitude.
Not really. The amount of bashing and praising on Lin here is pretty much neutralized. I don't think Irving would have a "he's a joke" thread hanging around Cavs land.
When it comes to Lin, people seems to invest a lot of emotion(either hate or love) to him and his game. It's really a unique case I'd say. As a result, we have LOF and LOH, plus trolls.
