Are we changing this thread title to Dragic and Felton are jokes? Roxxy, interesting that Lin said his game was the most like Dragic's.
No because if Lin plays bad again we would have to change it back to he's a joke again. Harden: "I told him (Lin) to turn his swag up, all the way up" lol
$11M-$13M wouldn't surprise me at all for Lowry, especially given the number of struggling Lottery teams, bubble playoff teams, and the minimum spending floor. Also, once you get pass Chris Paul and Kyle Lowry, the Free Agent PG class isn't that impressive. Tyreke Evans, Rodney Stucky, Jeff Teague, Darren Collison, Mo Williams, Jose Calderon, Aaron Brooks, Mario Chalmers and Greivis Vasquez don't exactly leave most teams' mouths watering. http://www.hoopsworld.com/2013-nba-free-agents/ Outside of Chris Paul, Lowry is arguably the best of that bunch.
people are certainly overreacting... but you can forgive them... considering so of the threads that have popped up on this forum... including this one you are replying to right now "Jeremy Lin is a joke!!!!"
Well, since you asked, my memory of them in high school were like night and day. Lin was never treated with any seriousness by the media pundits or public in general. In fact, news of his came to the southland (i.e., Southern California) mostly in the form of a circus variety. Even when he led the Vikings to defeat the national powerhouse, Mater Dei, two years in a row, most regarded that as a fluke and sheer luck that came as a result of the Monarchs defeating themselves by having a bad day. I for one did not take Lin seriously until I saw/read his coaches and teammates talked about his amazing feel for the game and what a great player he was in the local news when I was visiting the Bay Area. Even then I did not think or know he would be where he is today. So I think that pretty much sums it up as to why he was not offered any scholarship, basically people (Asians included) did not or do not believe an Asian could/can play. On the contrary, Harden was highly touted/regarded as a great shooter. As I lived in an area not far from Artesia where Harden went to high school, we heard about him and his team on the local TV and radios. How he dropped 30, 40 points a night and that he could be the next Kobe. UCLA and USC all went after him. As a Bruins fan, I was hoping he would go to UCLA and was disappointed when he chose Arizona State.
Lin was up against Chris Duhon of all people... The Lakers' 3rd string pg and one of the lower tier players in the entire NBA... #smh
My time is gonna come when Toney Douglas takes the starting spot. So this is still LOF's time, but little left.
