Once again, this is the NBA. Teams are going to play hard defense on you when they realize your weaknesses.

Jeremy Lin has not shown he can combat that. It's a really simple point.

How was he a non-factor tonight? Points is not everything in basketball. Clearly you know very little about the sport.

I guess LOHs don't necessarily sign on in 2012.

IMO, Lin is not like TD or Felton who are trigger happy. I am okay with him doing what he did tonight. Solid D, good ball distribution and getting other players involved.

Lin would have had 10 assists tonight if Patterson doesn't muff that dunk and Asik didn't blow that layup.

lin's been a nice positive in several game, including this one.

glad you were man enough to admit harden had a bad game, though.

Bingo, when you are double teamed you need to pass out of it to get your open teammates the shot. Harden knows that, but he was just to hard-on playing hero ball tonight... by the time he realized he couldn't it was too late.

Keeping it real? If you claim to be keeping it real and you should give credit when it is due.

No one is glorifying Lin's performance. At the same time, why are you bashing Lin who is our own player every chance you got?

What do you have against Lin that every one of your posts was derogaroty and non-complimentary?

And what exactly did you want Lin to do?

He had Westbrook, one of the fastest PG's in the game on him most of the night. 2nd defenders regularly came out to cut off driving lanes. AND you have Serge Ibaka, one of the BEST Shot blockers in the NBA patrolling the rim.

They focussed so much on Harden and Lin that they REPEATEDLY left Patterson COMPLETELY OPEN.

Would you rather he drive into the packed paint, trying to drive past Westbrook, and 2nd defender, and try to get a shot off past Ibaka and Durant on help Defense?

Would you have preferred a 6/15 stat line?

Seriously... you need to go back and REVIEW the actual game footage and look at how heavily the paint was packed, and how often 2nd defenders came out to fully double team or eliminate any potential driving lanes.

Trying to drive past Westbrook AND a help defender AND shoot past Ibaka at the rim is a recipe for repeated turnovers/blocked shots/misses.

Lin did what he was supposed to do... he gave Harden space when Harden had the ball, he passed out of double teams to give the team an opportunity to exploit the rotations, and he drove and passed to open shooters. And he played VERY good defense on Westbrook.

Did he have a great game? No. However, to say he had a horrible game is seriously out of whack with reality.

What credit does Lin deserve? Pretty much every night the opposing Point Guard is better than him it may be a few who aren't....while he makes 8 mil a year

He has to shoot more obviously. I don't think he took a shot in the entire 4th quarter, which is ridiculous.

On offense, oops. But he is still underperforming.

Am I reading these posts correctly? After Lin's 2 great games this thread dies down it's now back to the top with Lin's doubters seemingly EAGER to magnify his tough play from today like he was the only one who struggled out there?
    Wow.
Not only do some of you practically want him to play like a max contract player, you also want him to turn into Superman and carry the entire load of the fatigued team, make up for Parsons absence and win against arguably the best team in the Western Conference whose entire gameplan was to shut down the backcourt. That's right the BACKCOURT, that is both LIN/HARDEN. They are the heart of our offense. If you only saw them shutting down Harden, that's just your selective eye sight. Both were getting double teamed relentlessly and attacking was almost impossible as James' attempts showed when he got blocked a million times.
Lin also did a very good job at defending Westbrick, but of course he won't be given credit for that by the skeptics. 3rd consecutive game where many expected Lin to get "lit up" by great players and it didn't happen.
Cook and Parsons tried to step up and did all they could. The bench was garbage.
It was a tough game for a fatigued team that was missing their glue guy.
    C'mon y'all, be reasonable. SMH.

This argument is so wtf. On one hand he same posters are arguing that Jeremy Lin isn't getting the ball to even have a shot at facilitating. Citing his usage rate as being piss poor.

On the other hand he's the one getting Patterson and Asik their shots.

    Which is it?
    <br>
Also, Patterson and Asik had great games tonight because of the intense focus OKC had on Harden. You know...The guy who was actually making productive moves towards the basket. The one that's actually a scoring threat.
