Even if he doesn't get drafted (probable), I'm sure some team will want to try him out in the D-league.
I made sure I didn't misread the kid wasn't from Howard or Hartford. The name of Harvard is his biggest disadvantage if he wants a pro career. I think the kid can play, but not a NBA talent. However, he definitely will have a chance in overseas leagues, like Taiwan or maybe even China. I will be rooting for him.
Looks like the kid is born here, so he is an American. CBA has a extra Asian country player quota for sucky teams like Shanghai sharks, given that they have to sign a baller from ABA countries. I am thinking it might behoove him to get dual citizenship of Taiwan and US, which Taiwan allows and US doesn't give a damn. That way he can go to CBA as an ABA player. Most ABA players singed in CBA aren't that good, and almost all are from Taiwan. The downside of doing that is the military obligation Taiwan wants on male citizen. Maybe if he promises to play for Taiwan "national" team, they will let him get away?
Cool article. I wasn't too familiar with him beforehand, but I'll be rooting for him from now on. Its whack how he didn't get any D1 offers, even despite being the best player in California.
I would beg to differ. Sincerely, Chris Dudley Former Trailblazer benchwarmer and member of Yale Class of 1987
Yeah, he was a 7 footer that could move and btw he went to Yale kinda guy. Many thought he wouldn't have last long in NBA and lo and behold he played longer than Barkley.
http://www.mynbadraft.com/2007-nba-draft-combine-results/ Don't know what else to say, but we are talking about real basketball.
My bad. I just think NFL when I hear combine. All I've remembered are NBA "pre-draft workouts" or players going to Chicago or whereever.
