He was lucky Dragic missed that last shot that he totally whiffed on.

Completely blew that defense which could have cost this team the game.

No he didn't. He played bad. His defense on Dragic wasn't even good. Dragic just missed. But this game doesn't change my opinion. He is mediocre.

Lin doesn't get to do what he excels at anymore - which is running the pick-n-roll. He just brings the ball up the court and passes it off to Harden or Parsons, then he camps in the corner as a spot up shooter.

This makes it even harder for him to get into a rhythm and thus he becomes more passive, which is when he's at his worst.

Wow Lin is terrible. I've given up almost all hope on the guy. I completely agree with OP and will give positive rep.

He is "mediocre" in a league of above average point guards.

6 assists and 3 rebs in 20 minutes of play. Was +1 for the game and had the highest +/- for the team until the rally in the last 5 minutes of the game. The only thing he didn't do well tonight was hit his shots and we know he is a high percentage shooter. Not to take anything away from Beverley's play in the 4th quarter tonight but Bev has had many stat lines like Lin's tonight and has either been praised or simply not criticized. I think Houston fans need to get a grip.

Not to add to the Lin hate but the guy scares the hell out of me, especially come playoff time. Bev was sucking early on but he made up for it big time down the stretch. Bev doesn't get rattled easily. Lin plays like a scared girl out there and blew it on defense the last shot of the game. Fortunate Dragic missed it.

Lin forced Dragic to re-adjust his shot. Dragic is having an all-star year but he is NOT clutch when it counts the most. :D

Agreed. Until the last 5 minutes of the game, Beverley had not played Dragic well. He showed up when it counted and deserves credit for the win. Lin does not deserve blame for his performance. He was +1 for the game and had 6 assists in 20 minutes of play. The only thing he didn't do was shoot well, but we know he is a high percentage shooter. He will bounce back.

Such knee jerk reactions. Reminds me of the board last year. There's a difference between inconsistent and just plain sucking. He's inconsistent, but when he has a nice string of games will you still be saying this? Relax.

And dw you won't be banned

Sigh. Just sigh. You all need to get a clue about evaluating NBA talent. RONDO is the best - that was pure sarcasm. I would recommend that the neophytes visit Hollinger's PER rankings. For the more sophisticated please see xRAPM and ASPM.
