Lin played 82 games this year and you're saying he had no opportunity?

I get that Lin is an overall better defender than Brooks, but in this series, the gap between them wouldnt have been that great IMO. Lin got in foul trouble early on because he was trying to draw charges on Westbrook in transition, which wasn't a great defensive strategy on his part (or bad execution, at least). Also, Brooks has played RW more and Lin was clearly flustered as the intensity increased in the postseason. So, Brooks has been there and had experience on his side. I didn't expect Brooks to get a lot of minutes back then or leap Beverely in the rotation, but he should have taken more of Lin's minutes.

Relaxxxx. Lin was on point for a good game in game 3 before he couldn't play on anymore. He'll do fine, especially coming off the bench.

You guys are all tripping. You guys are so down on Lin right now, it's not even funny.

Dude, it's been only a week. He played in like one playoff game. Smh, how fast and easy it is to turn on Lin and want him to be benched..

You guys are basically saying, if he does good, that's perfect, that's what his role should be, a bench player. And if he does bad, than that's why he should be on the bench. You guys have turned the tables on Lin so fast that no matter what, Lin has to be benched to satisfy your egos... smh. Some awesome Rockets' fans..

Uh first of all I thought you were talking about solely the playoffs, in which he hasn't had an opportunity after game 1. But are you really gonna bring on the regular season? The season where he gets knocked on the face every game, the one where he's bled multiple times and got stitched up, the one where he's had multiple ankle injuries and still played every game and showed up big many times

A lot of people around here had written off James Harden, who promptly hit 7 treys in a row and pushed us to victory with 31 points. Jeremy could come out hot. I certainly hope so, because the guy is way overdue (so was James). If he can't give us quality minutes, McHale will sit him. Brooks will still play, IMO. I don't have a problem at all with trotting out Mr. Lin off the bench.

i don't think lin cares if HE wins, as long as the team wins the game. and i don't either.

however, EVERYBODY that played in the game, is by definition undeniably part of the win.

As unpredictable (and sometime very bad) as McHale has been in the regular season with the rotation, I trust McHale to make the right decision in Game 6. He's already set the tone in stating that Lin will get spot mins off the bench and in a very nice way, will be monitor very carefully...

I don't expect that many mins from Lin unless Bev or AB is performing poorly or in the very limited min Lin gets early on, he really out perform both Bev and AB.

The good thing with Lin in this situation is... Westbrook is out and he got size and speed advantages over both Reggie Jackson and Fisher. RJ has a size adv over Bev and AB but not Lin. And if you have followed Lin and the Rocket this whole season, you know that Lin's D is better against bigger slower guard than against smaller quicker guards.

Having Lin available is just another good option for the Coach.

This...Certain people had superstar expectations from someone that most objective people thought would be a decent PG...and Lin had a solid season in his first full year as a starter...If Linsanity was his best as a player...then we have a really good player that has a high peak...we have someone that is able to drop 30 when he has too...and just because he didnt do so with regularity with the Rockets doesnt mean he is a bust, a bench player, etc...

However with that being said, i just want him to come off the bench the remainder of this series. I like the solid effort that Beverley has given us while Lin has been out. And as a fan, I just dont want the Rockets to lose any chemistry. I think Lin can take Delfino's minutes for now. I definitely think that if the Rockets get out of this series, Lin should get his role back as the starter.. He has definitely earned it.

Lin is going to be a good player for the Rockets...and he is a kid with the right mindset and mentality. I cant help but root for his success, and i do hope that he can deliver on this playoff stage...I just cant believe the constant hate that he gets...and i just dont fully understand why...

The team will lose if Harden has a bad game and other guys' treys are not falling, and/or OKC's other players are shooting light outs besides their superstar. Why must some posters think Lin coming in as a bench player for sub-par minutes should bear the sin of the loss, if Heaven forbids this will happen under the above scenario? Afterall, OKC is the #1 seed in the West, so if they win by playing a good game and we playing a sub-par game, it is not going to be a huge surprise. Why should Lin bear the consequence? Just saying... Be a Rockets fan and not some hate-monger please.

I'm willing to admit I was one of them who was pissing on Harden. I still putting the blame from our prev loss on him. There was a few times he did put us back but then he'll fudge it up with his brick and iso plays...lets not forget those uuugly TO....

Game 5 was a huge relief...didn't expect to see that happening. We need Harden, Asik and Garcia to play at the same level like in game 5. All this BS talk about PG is silly....the PG to me was irrelevant in game 5. They better step it up today like they did in game 4....Harden may get back to his stinking mode...and the PG better play like they did in game 4.

I think Lin may be more productive off the bench playing with the 2nd unit. That will give him a chance to have the ball in his hands more and run PnRs with one of the bigs (that can roll to the basket and catch the ball). Playing wth Harden he has to give it up and be a spot up shooter. He is too streaky of a shooter for that.

I think AB has proven he can be a matchup problem for OKC so he should continue to get minutes. His scoring last game helped us keep the lead when Harden was out. We need all the scoring we can find!

He's played three playoff games. Dazed and injured. That's what worries most people, not that he's jeremy lin. It takes time to come back/adapt to both of those and this return feels rushed.

If he's truly healthy and contributes, great. If not, then he obviously needs to sit and quickly. Isn't that a common sense approach with any player, that isn't an all-star or long time vet, in a game 6?

Some fans here are just pathetic. If anyone should be panic about Lin's return it should be OKC's fans.

Cheer for Lin's return and let the coaches worry about how to arrange the minutes of the guards. I am sure they are happy to have an extra hand in this situation. They may not be the best coaches but we are in playoffs and fighting for the next round.

If the chemistry or rhythm can be ruined by arguably only the 4th or 5th best player of the team then we do not deserve to win it at all.

    Lin Fans Gon' Lin.

He's had plenty opportunity to show everyone without a doubt that he should be starting, now its post season and the community is almost split in half on if he's good for the team.

Like someone said previously i think his best role would be the 6th man.

When we trade Lin are you still a Rocket? Stop saying 'we' and 'us'

Lin doesn't deserve what he's getting, but he definitely deserves some hate. There's an argument to be had on whether he's earned the starting position. What's sad is, he's being compared to decent pg's in PBev and AB and he is still not the clear cut winner.... get your head out of your @$$
