Then why say anything? Lin is an opportunist cry baby out for himself. Plain and simple

No reason to cancel someone for saying **** in the heat of it. If we cancelled everyone that said racist stuff, there would few people left.

I'm a minority and have heard racists comments all through my life, and unfortunately most of it came from other minorities.

very few Lin fans called him better than Harden, Nash, etc. The few that did were extreme and vocal, but who cares what they said?

The question is not canceling someone saying it
Its is there evidence someone said it

Give me a break. If you hear it at the Y, I'm sure you hear it in the G league.

Why can’t he say who called him that ?
you go on camera and make that accusation
Then you need to say who did said it

I don’t believe this narrative that Lin is super Christian honest boy like every sucker does

I’m glad the nba is going to investigate it

also if you see this happen on court then your teammates react or you react to it

Either racism happened or someone lied about racism

There was zero context on his accusation.
Was it said during a game ?
Was it a member of the other team? His own teammate?
What date did it happen ?
Which game did it happen ?

The nba spend the entire season talking about social justice and suddenly a G league player who’s playing for a contract drops a racist statement against Jesus boy ?

    Hmmmm

Are his teammates backing up his statement ?
    His coach ?

Again. I want to hear the report of the investigation when it’s done.

No reports of violence against Asian-Americans in Houston, but still possible it is happening. At least one report of a verbal attack on an Asian-American in Houston based on the virus reported here:

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/ne...ic-is-battle-against-15207408.php?converted=1

"In Houston, a city known for its diversity and tolerance, a woman verbally attacked the owner of the Vietnamese restaurant Vietopia earlier this month in a parking lot in front of the business, screaming expletives and, “You, get out of our country.”

“I felt unwanted here. We were very offended,” said Sammi Tran, co-owner and wife of the victim, who videotaped the incident. “My husband was born here in America. We don’t harm anybody, but this is happening now. I’ve never felt like this before.”

“We go to the supermarket and they look at us as if we were ugly people,” Tran said."

Obviously racism against Asian Americans exists which is why if this happened that Lin needs to out who did it. He's never had any problem speaking up in the past but now all of a sudden he's silent on an extremely serious issue and accusation that he made? That makes absolutely no sense to me

Also, it makes no sense that a regular low paying g league player would vocally say this on the court to him. Especially when the g leaguer is trying to make a roster. Also where are his teammates ? Are they witnesses ? There’s nine other players on the court and people on the sidelines and the refs and reporters that can be interviewed by the league

There’s racism everywhere but comparing cities , the other major cities have been on lockdown and other factors.

Back to Lin. He said it happened during a game, there’s automatically 8 witnesses excluding him
And the person who allegedly said a racist remark.

Oh changing the subject I see

so if someone is playing a g league basketball game and it’s being recorded, are there 10 players on the court ?
That means if someone called another player say
    A SCRUB
The other players would hear it right ?

So far no player has come out and disputed Lin’s claim. Investigation will hopefully reveal something...

    there's no real good outcome
    1. there was racism, player is identified and his career is over
    2. there was no racism, Lin's image takes a massive hit

The best outcome would be for the NBA to investigate and identify the player who said it, then have that player apologize directly to Lin and go through some kind of racial-sensitivity training without publicizing who that player is. NBA can announce that the issue has been addressed and all parties are satisfied with the outcome.

Disagree. If that comment was made nothing short of an extremely long suspension would be adequate. Same goes for Lin if he's lying. Either way there needs to be a resolution to the situation. It shouldn't just go away
