You got forced into a SG position and into an undisciplined offensive system. Here's to hoping that your confidence is renewed in a better system with a saavy coach.
Jeremy Lin update- The Lin virus has been spread to Lakers Underground. The mods have lost control and a strand known as the "Lin will be a top 3 pg in Lakers history" has evolved. Like I said, the Rockets were winners yesterday.
The Lakers have a larger base of supporters, and are far more mature and experienced than Rockets fans. They won't get freaked out by having a lot of fans supporting a player or having a lot of Asian fans. Houston simply isn't that mature culturally. It's a very diverse city, but not culturally mature. You can tell from the number of comments on this site that always talk about Asians or LOFs in dismissive, derisive tones. People on Dallas boards are laughing at the Rockets right now.......for good reason. People on San Antonio threads can't understand the Lin-hate that consumes this site. The indications are that the Lakers intend to use Lin as a starting PG and give him a chance to play. That's all his fans ask for. From Day 1, McHale and co took every opportunity to diminish Lin and slot him into roles that did not play to his strengths. To his credit, Lin didn't complain. He adapted very well, worked hard and is now a better player than he was in New York. The Lakers will receive the benefits of that hard work.
Best of luck in Lala land, Jeremy. plz don't kill us too badly next season. We know you'll have us marked like the others ex-Rox.
Have fun on lakersground! You can think that now, just wait and see how they react when all of you LOF's start blaming Kobe for Lins struggles lol.
I just went to check it out for myself and it already started LOL. I am so happy we don't have to hear this **** in the GARM anymore.
Eh..I love the state of Cali but culturally mature? They voted in Terminator and Gary Coleman and pornstars were other viable options so no.
Hakeem fathered an illegitimate daughter and Mutumbo was caught up in a gold smuggling scandal, so save your good person argument for a different time. Plus, what did Lin actually do outside of any NBA cares initiatives for the community of Houston? Asik didn't contribute toward the 54 win total because quite frankly, he was injured for most of it and not back in full form. Lin's contribution was generic, and to be honest, the times AB filled in we got a lot of the same contribution from AB. That isn't to say Lin didn't contribute, it is to say at $8 million we can easily find a player who could do the same if not better.
