So, since you broke down why Lin is so bad. Why don't you go ahead and break down why Fortson should start over any PGs on our roster.

I'm sure most of us here will agree to your argument.

Whats next, they get mad at Miami for scoring more points than they did in 4 out of 5 playoffs games so Miami wouldn't lose the games? stupid stupid stupid stupid.....

I think the Knicks will match eventually. Too much backlash if they don't match.

If they don't match than we have our PG of the future. If they do match, they will be luxury hell in the third year and be can grab some other PG and maybe tank. Win-Win situation for us.

I think if we get Lin, a trade for Dwight might make more sense. Hear me out.

With Lin here, Howard would basically be the most popular guy in China. Yeah I know Lin is American and not from China, but trust me, every Rox game will be broadcast primetime in China. Forget going to Brooklyn and expanding your visibility there. Try having a billion people ready to buy anything you pitch to them. Dwight will be doing commercials with Yao and getting lobs from Lin. He will be the most marketable non-Asian in China. Seriously Chuck frigging Hayes has a shoe contract in China. Chuck frigging Hayes.

Chinese are smarter than people think. They know scrubs from good players and most over 30 cite Jordan as their favorite player.

This move will be all about basketball and 8 million for a serviceable PG with upside isn't a terrible deal. Certainly better than 8 million over FOUr years with a player option.

Yes this is trolololololol entertainment for all Houston fans. Morey if nothing else is awesome for ****ing with the big market teams.

The Knicks have no one else to blame. They need Lin and they could have gotten him for $24 million or so over 4 years easily if they hadn't dissed him and told him to go find market value. Lin even went out and got a new agent after they refused to open up with an offer to retain him. They will match IMO.

Houston could use Lin but let's be honest it's not like the Rockets are 1 PG away from greatness.

Amare is very unpopular amongst Asians because of his perceived anti-Yaoness. It was Melo vs Lin in the media. So I'm going to guess that no, it didn't help.

Yes it will make Dwight popular in China but people all remember who Yao beat him like a rented mule all those years (same as Chandler who is one of the few players Yao actually trashtalked). What makes more sense is that playing with Lin will boost Dwight offensively. Running the floor and pick and roll with Lin he will feast like Chandler did.

Chandler scored over 20 points a game during Linsanity hitting his career bests. Whether Howard comes to Houston for a year isn't up to him though or about what's best for his game. It's about what Morey can give Orlando

Oh I agree with you, this move makes sense for us basketball wise because honestly whats our PG option if we don't get Lin?

I'm just saying that the fringe benefits are also there.

I've been against any Dwight trades because I am convinced he will bolt after the year no matter what. However, if we get Lin and Howard plays with him I think his marketing people will point out just how much more marketable he would be if he stays in Hou rather than leave.

Jameer Nelson was a very good point guard when he was healthy. If Lin can play anywhere near his level on a consistent basis for an entire season, I think Dwight will be back at 2010 levels and maybe even more.

Can you imagine us getting Lin and then sign Aaron brooks.

I think when it's all said and done the rockets line up will be

    Dhoward/ Asziek
    D-mo/ glen Davis/ luere
    Parsons/ white/
    Lee/ lamb/ Richardson
    Lin/brooks

I think orlando will take Patterson/ morris and one of either jones or lamb from our rookies along with our many draft picks along with them. In return we get Howard/Davis/Richardson .

Plus we resign lee and Aaron brooks (maybe even carl Landry) back.
Assets we have lost before that we loved and hated to see leave now surrounded by a big man again from Yao to Howard. Also I think glen Davis and Richardson are the best players to take back with Howard. Richardson is a cheaper version of Kevin Martin who can play some spot up mins at the 3 spot to give lamb more time. And glen Davis proved he was valuable when Howard went down. Davis practically averaged a double double in the playoffs this year.

    I'm excited at the possibilities
With this line up he have defense and offese

Melo is the opposite of winning, being a team player, and being a leader. Any franchise with Melo as the #1 guy is doomed.

I'd rather have someone who is familiar with how we do things and has been with us before. I'd still go after brooks as long as he doesn't ask for too much $.

and the Knicks were playing "back to back" and 4 games in 5 nights... in their game vs Miami...

which Melo admitted he wasnt playing 100% for coach D at the time...

yet you didnt cut Lin any breaks for that game...

Hi all im a LOF

One of things you learn in covering #Knicks is you don't cross owner James Dolan. He is a very loyal guy but when disloyalty is shown, you are done with him. That may very well be case here with Jeremy Lin. It wasn't just the money, which was obscene in third year. As we have reported last couple of days, the renegotiation of an offer sheet that was agreed upon and leaked to press - after Woodson publicly said they'd match and he'd be starter - was a kick in gut to organization.

Familiarity with what? AB was here before McHale took over.

Besides, we already know how AB plays. He is no PG.

Trading Lowry was the worst move Morey made this off-season. Now we have no PG.
