Think the Rockets are starting to think 'oh crap we may have to play a guy with a 25-start resume all that money?'

Would this signing hurt our chances of getting Howard?

I don't think Lin would prevent the Rockets from being able to have room for another max deal. If anything, it makes for another decent sign and trade piece down the road, particularly as an expiring deal in year three.

His contract is approx 8 million. Might mean taking back ALL those Magic contracts would be problematic.

Lol which is why they gave him all that money because they feel he can start.

We COULD theoretically....but it would make us look bad when dealing with future players/agents.

I'd rather see our group of young guys tough it out than have to deal with a season of "will he re-sign"...

    Conspiracy Theory

Rockets need a all-star for the game next year, Lin will get in on votes alone :p
Stern finally paying the Rockets back for that Pau Gasol trade.

Good post. Agree. Feigen often just simply disappears for long chunks of time. And not exactly available even during the season. He's a good writer, IMO, just not very accessible. I hope you are right and that this signals the start of a new relationship with readers.

No matter whether you think Lin is worth 8 mil a year or not, with the way McHale loves to run so much PnR and action though the PG, his inflated stats will certainly make it look like he is.
