I just want to give props to Feigen. I don't remember him ever reporting on rumors or giving us the latest on "what he's hearing"...you know inside info as best he hears it. He always seemed to be the "well we will all have to wait and see what happens" and just report on the court stuff.
Anyways, hopefully he's turned over a new leaf because I really like that kind of stuff from a beat writer.

I just found yet another reason to party here in Vegas. I'm gonna rent a limo and go up and down the strip screaming "Linsanity!" with my Rockets gear on.

If we end up with Lin and Asik does this mean that we are not getting Dwight or what's the deal? My understanding is Orlando wants to unload at least 2-3 bad contracts how would this affect our chances of getting Dwight?

Oh man, I'm excited. Lin will bring us back into the spotlight and definitely play his contract out on the court.

Will this affect our plans at getting Dwight financially?

Means we get to keep Lamb, Donut, White, and tank for a good lottery pick. Who cares what happens to DHoward.

Do you even know the CBA rules? NY did offer Lin the max contract that they could offer him which was 4/24. There was never a hope in hell of him signing it because his agent wouldn't have allowed it since 4/24 was the absolute minimum that Lin was going to get. With that knowledge he just looked at what teams were desperate and trolled Houston who predictably overpaid for a player that they cut 6 months prior.

Yeah, I'm sure that 28 other NBA owners are just dancing in the streets that the Rockets established a 15 million dollar baseline, that every agent will now use as the floor, for a guy who played 25 good games.

That's the great oddity and hilarity of the politic of the CBA & NBA salary cap. The teams who scream for relief and the need for a hard cap loudest are the teams who often vastly overpay to get a player to sign in a market that they wouldn't otherwise be interested in (...if not for the money).
