    Links?

What I remember is that Lin talked to Yao on the phone and met him once in person. "Almost everyday" and "all the time" need to be verified. I wouldn't be surprised they would call each other "friend" but "close"? Nah.

Is there a reason why we haven't done this yet?

Morey doesn't really want Lin...it is all a smokescreen. For what...who knows.

Morey may be in the process of adjusting Lin's contract to a $1B! contract, just to see if the Knicks are really serious about matching anything up to ONE BILLION. I mean, there is "talk" money, and then there is "spend" money.

    :D

Mike Woodson said the knicks 'absolutely' will match Lin's offer sheet after he signs it.

LOL, isn't this a serious dick move? When you have a gentleman's agreement on an RFA offer sheet and then don't send it out when the time comes.

Just for reference, has this happened before?

So let me get this straight.

If Lin signs the offer sheet, and then the Knicks match it, then Lin has no more say in the matter--he's going to be a Knick next season?

Or does he still get to choose where he wants to play, between us and NY?

...Times like this, I envy BimaThug. He has the economics of professional sports down.

If the Knicks match the offer Lin will be in NY. He has no say as a restricted free agent.

I see...that sucks, but hey, he's the one that agreed to those terms when he first signed the contract.

Oh well. If they match, good luck to him.

If I had to guess, Morey must be trying something behind the scenes. What exactly that is I have no clue.

I'm watching the ESPY's just to see Morey run his ****** down the aisle to get Lin to sign that contract, before it's too late

Sitting here in the ESPYs press tent.
After receiving his award Lin had a lot of good things to say about his time here in Houston, yet not too much about NYK.
However he said like everyone else, he's just waiting to see what happens.
