i would rather sign brooks for less. The only problem is we might win more games with brooks.Lin will cost more but i think we will have a better draft pick.I love our second and especially third draft picks but they are not good enough to carry our team yet.We just need to add noel in the draft next and we would be back.

Having Brooks for less and winning ball games is a problem??? It looks to me like more of an advantage, no??

Do you really think Brooks would help these rookies grow and get us 1 step closer to contenders?

Carmelo can't play with anyone other than with a team built around his own iso game and satisfied with no defense and losing in the early rounds

yeah, I don't like carmelo anymore. he was good in denver with billups when they went to the wcf's, but now he's ****. he's still a great scorer, but that's literally the only thing he's good for. he literally helps his team in no other way. you can't win a ring with a player like melo. he's a great scorer, but so is kevin martin. that nyk team, and any other team that melo will go to, won't win jack with melo as their best player. he's an overrated chucker.

Morey is cheap, if this is what he offered Dragic then I can imagine Goran was insulted! Lin should just go back to NYK, he will be stuck in no mans land here. By the way, Morey is not that smart either because now he cannot even trade for him. My guess, he doesn't even want Lin but just figured what's the worst that could happen. He wants AB back, I'm certain.

You must have psychic powers or something. Like about 90% of the other posters on this board you guys know exactly what is going on behind the scenes in the Rocket's front office and the rest of the NBA. I love reading these DaDakota like posts unlike the ones that are logical and well thought out like Carl Herrera's or Bimathug's.

lin stat dropped after melo eventually controled knicks and his head coach. i believe the drop is pretty significant. otherwise, his stat should look much better based on games he started and before melo was back. i didn't calculate what his stat after d'antonio left.

i am very confused why morey spent time on lin's negotiation. this offer sheet is nothing but 100% sure knicks will match. i don't need to read all media reports. this is nothing compared to what lin could potentially bring in.

morey not only waste his time and energy but also waste all fans' time and energy here.

Hearing this is getting really old.

Would you rather we let NY keep him for the most team-friendly contract they can muster? FFS, just because another team is going to match doesn't mean you shouldn't force their hand in doing so. If they want to keep him, make it the absolute most painful contract possible. Otherwise you're derelict as a GM. Refusing to make an offer would be equivalent to T-mac letting Jamario Moon blow by him for a dunk.

So he should just sit on his ass taking a pay check? Don't try because you could fail?

If we know the Knicks will match, why alienate one of the most powerful franchises in the league?
