    The problem is all the media keep magically forgetting it's Houston Lin got his offer from

    "Is Lin gone?"

    "Jeremy Lin To Expensive for the New York Knicks"

    "Should the Knicks bring back Lin?"

    "Linsanity coming to an end?"

    "NY To Let Lin Walk"

    These are the kinds of headlines you will see if you look at any national sports media right now.

    The Knicks keep leaking news to the press that they aren't going to match but it makes no sense why they wouldn't. I mean, Lin will make $5 mil next season which I believe he's deserved for last year. If he doesn't do well, they can start to shop him in year two. By the time the third year comes around, if they haven't come close to a title they should blow the team up anyway starting with Melo and Stat's $23 mil contracts. Why stress over Lin's $15 mil contract at that point?

    Makes no sense. Sorry guys but don't think he's coming to Houston. :mad:

    I seriously don't think there has been one, single headline from any 'national' sports news outlet along the lines of "Rockets close to acquiring Jeremy Lin".
