    feltons agent is on record saying he believes felton is the starter on opening day

    u have to think felton would rather remain a starter, which he has been the length of his career, than be in a situation where he may be buried 3rd on the depth chart

    and dont say he could come off the bench as a jumpshooter.. just look at his percentages last season..

    im starting to come around that lin to houston is a near lock...

    That's hasn't been quoted by any reliable source. Michael Kay (he's been around a long time, longer than SAS) of the MK show said that no one, absolutely no one working for the Knicks has told anyone in the media what's going on or what the organization is feeling. Kay said that any media/radio personality saying they know is wrong.

    I reckon they would've matched by now. Especially how the media circus has become too much and it is all so negative.

    Lin to Houston is guaranteed.

    They're doing this intentionally to create suspense... they'll have this big celebration in NY and everyone will glorify the Knicks.

    And I hope that's the case so that he'd be more motivated to cut loose the ties with Lin rather than keep him on board with the Knicks. It's a strange feeling to have such a wild card in the mix in the form of the decisions (perhaps even whims) of a billionaire owner.

    Theory: The Knicks need a leader on the team that Melo will follow. The Knicks end game is Chris Paul, not Jeremy Lin.

    Based on what Shamsports.com shows, the Knicks salary for 2013 without Lin is in the neighborhood of $70MM. If the Knicks Amnesty Stoudamire's 19.9MM, would they be far enough under the cap to sign CP3? I think so.


    While it would normally be unthinkable to amnesty STAT, the Knicks need CP3 much more than STAT. CP3 would provide the alpha male leadership the team needs, and more importantly, Melo would follow his lead. That is certainly not true for Lin. Tyson chandler could still defend the paint and recieve pnr lobs from Paul.

    If this is the case, the Knicks should pass on Lin. I'm just not sure that their management understand that the current roster plus Lin cannot contend for a title.
