No, you are posting what YOU THINK the truth is....the point I am making is that you are being a pretentious douchebag to try to piss off people...an activity we don't look upon with favor.

Keep posting if you want, but if you continue to be such a dick about it, you won't be here for long.

    Edit-- what Bmoney said also

And Carmelo, if that really is his quote, took a big hit to his rep over this.

He said something before that, "I'd love to have him back, but he's gotta do what's best for him."
Kind of lessens what he said. Obviously everyone is going to think its a ridiculous contract because Daryl Morey purposely made it ridiculous on the Knicks end to consider matching it (poison pill). I don't think Melo meant any disrespect.

The position of the league office in the Lin offer is more than a little interesting. They are trying to stay out of it, saying its up to the two teams to work out.

This stands in marked contrast to the behavior of the Commissioner less than one year ago when Scola and Martin were traded with the Rockets ending up with Gasol. In that situation, the league office could not wait to jump in the middle of a trade that all parties has already agreed upon and signed off on. At best, their behavior in these two situations is inconsistent. The one troubling constant is that it is the Rockets who are getting screwed around.

Hi, could someone please tell me why New York made a mistake not offering Lin a contract first? Is it just that he might have signed there without looking elsewhere? How could this have played out differently with Houston if they offered him first?

Maybe knicks shouldnt of waited to match or let Lin walk, That is not going to be a fun locker room to be in next year when Lin is having a better season on Rockets than the supposed superstar on the knicks.

Here is something from the NYPost regarding Lin's marketability and branding opportunities.

I can't imagine the Knicks winning a dispute against the Rockets and players association about when the deadline ends. Do they think hide and seek games will work in their favor? Why waste everyone's time, including Lin's?
