If we get Josh Smith along with D12 that's 2 guys that can't shoot. Teams would basically pack the paint. We need a real long range threat at PG to balance it out.

He was shooting decently for half a season. I think the management will probably keep Lin and if it doesn't work out with Howard/Smith, Lin will be traded in the midseason.

Calderon would be cool. Might give us the worst defensive backcourt in the league, though.

Sounds like Calderon. Who are some other shooting options?

Well Calderon's job should be easier if he can funnel defenders to Dwight. Lin did improve his shooting last year quite a bit though. If he can shoot like he did over the last 40 games, I say we keep him.

I'm not worried about Lin's shooting if it's true he is working hard to elevate his game.

Dmorey is unlikely to fleece another team into giving up an equal or better PG for the slightly-overpaid Lin. We'd be targeting middling starting PGs like Vasquez and Teague, but it won't be easy getting one of those guys in return for Lin while netting some extra cap space.

They will have to if the Rockets want cap room to sign Canaan, the Greek kid, and a vet swingman.

I'd like to keep Lin, ideally as the 6th man, I think he would be great in that role

It all depends on how they view him, as JLIN the player or JLIN the
money making machine. Morey is not going to get fleeced!
