Wow, all these other big cities LOVE Lin...meanwhile Houston is like "meh". For the greater benefit of the NBA, and, fans everywhere, a classy guy and poster-child type like JLin should be matched up with a big urban metropolois like...LA, NY, Philly, Boston, where the hometown fans will actually root for the guy, and he himself can be on the level (popularity-wise) of a Jordan or whatever.
Google is not banned in China. They just mess with it randomly to make the service bad. Sometimes it will work normally, sometimes it will be incredibly slow. Many Chinese have gmail accounts. You need to understand the Chinese government: they want it to appear that China is totally open. If Google is blocked, that's a pretty obvious indicator that the country is not open.
