it's amazing what ball movement can do isn't it. Lin is blowing up the stat line but he frankly doesn't care about the stat line. he plays a total team game with a very high IQ.

He is making Steve Novak look like Larry Bird from the 3 point range. :)

True, Lin is a smart man....he knows where he can get a probable assist, just like Lowry passing it to Kmart, Scola or Bud, they know where to get their numbers.

It'll be interesting when Amare and Carmelo get back. I think Amare will fit in beautifully with Lin given all the experience he has with Steve Nash pick-and-rolls, but I'm not so sure about where Carmelo fits in. He'll have to have the ball out of his hands a lot for Lin to continue being effective; is he OK with that? We'll see.

Well, Melo will be a shorter leash now that Lin has emerged. It's up to Mike D to figure it out. He has a good roster and he is paid to figure it out.

Our pick aside, I'm really glad Lin ended up at NY. D' Antoni's taken a lot of flack this year being dumb etc. etc. etc., but now we see the problem isn't him, its Melo dragging the offense down to the ground with his ISOs and selfish play.

Lin will be like the 3rd average guard who exploded under D'Antoni's guidance: first Felton, then Duhon and now Lin. He knows how to get the best out of pass first pgs.

It would be cool if the kid could keep this up tonight...plus I hate LA. Must be weird to get so much media attention but be living so modest.

The Los Angeles Times reported that, on Jan. 4, Lin posted on Twitter:"Everytime i try to get into Madison Square Garden, the security guards ask me if im a trainer LOL."
