    He is no where close to a good pick and roll defender not to mention Chuck... He gets over the screen away too slow...
    Chuck not only has great D positioning but also quick feet... Chuck defensive footwork is one of the best in the league...

    White is doing well on the low post d as a rookie, but not on his perimeter and pick and roll d...

    I am not sure that White is the total reason they are playing so well, but I do agree completely with your observation that they are playing great team basketball. I think we may be seeing some of McHale's coaching philosophy in their play. It bodes well for the future.
