I watch a lot of basketball and I would ADORE JVG as Rockets coach. There is absolutely no downside, he would absolutely play young players cause that's basically all he would have, and his lack of offensive creativity would not be any worse than Mchale's offense. His biggest plus is defense, and the Rockets have players who are skilled enough to play great defense with the right system and coaching. I should mention that this is terribly off topic and I would imagine Castor would rather this derail be taken to the Rockets forum so this is all I have to say on the subject here.
That's awesome. JVG is such an awesome dude. Love his commentary. Really love how he fell in love with the city and has made it his home.
I really hope he will stay in Houston for the rest of his life because I want him to keep saying things good about Houston when he is on public tv. What I love about him is that he keeps saying positive things about Houston.
I thought it was too funny that he singled out Braman, Reed, Watt, and Antonio Smith as the guys he likes due to their effort - all defensive players  And the offensive guys he mentions, Casey, Walter, and Daniels - Kubaik's version of the "White boy power squad" of Sura, Barry, Padgett, and Bowen! Gotta love JVG. I wish we would've knocked off the Mavs in 2005 and seen where the guys could've gone with that confidence...
