JVG can do better. Nets now remind me of the Jazz from five years ago. Ceiling with EVERYTHING going right would be ECF, and maybe even not that.

If I were JVG, happy and without eye circles living in West U and running daily on the Rice loop, then I would go back into coaching for a few teams only:

    1. OKC with Durant and Westbrook
    2. Miami with the Big Three
    3. Cleveland with Irving and ONLY if Lebron were to go back
    4. The Rockets with Harden and another superstar added

Of those, surprisingly enough, Miami's coach seems to be the most firmly entrenched. Maybe that's because they're winning though. All of those jobs could come open on a moment's notice.

Wouldn't touch the job. Maybe only if I was looking for my first head coaching job but otherwise, meh, pass.

That roster is pretty much locked in, and they aren't really going anywhere. 2nd round team at best, more likely one-and-done.

"I think short of winning a championship, it wouldn't have made any difference," Carlesimo said. "I mean, [GM] Billy [King] was pretty candid....I think anything short of winning a championship wasn't going to change his mind or [ownership's] mind."

Best of luck to the next coach!

If he can squeeze the Nets for a long term say 5yr/35M deal then he should do it and not wait for all his kids to graduate HS.

To me one of the best coaches available, I would love to see what he could do with that Nets squad.

Nets have a very promising squad already.

    JVG should accept the job.

They need to aggressively shop Wallace for an expiring he's eating up cap room. Joe Johnson is untouchable after the series he had but given rest for his injuries he, dwill, and Lopez are a good core. Not sure whose willing to take 3 years of Gerald but he's their only trade option.

I trust Woj way more than Chris Broussard.
