Rockets Dynasty, why don't you respond to the first series of inaccuracies that I pointed out in your previous rant before you string together altogether new inaccuracies?

I've never seen such rampant speculation in a thread based on absolutely nothing.

And you say Alexander is an elitist? What does that even mean exactly? Besides, Alexander is a fairly private owner so I don't know what information you are evaluating his personality on. Also, most people are particular about their employees when their company is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. To say that means absolutely nothing. If he weren't particular, he wouldn't be the owner.

you know you don't have to be so rude when you write about basketball and players/cpaches.
I can see where you are coming from and I agree with you and will even say that if JVG can't or won't coach Rookies then Les needs to find someone that knows how to.JVG isn't going to bring a Championship to Houston till this team is rebuilt and gets playing experience. This upcoming season will be only the first major step towards any Championship Aspirations.

One thing that should be mentioned here is that les aleaxander is one of the poorest owner in thenba, he cannot afford to fire jvg unil his contact runs out...he bought the team for a measly 80-88 mil, and althouh the franchise has appreciated, he has cash flow concerns, as he is pooly leveraged, by mos sports owners stabdards. you forget he is bicoastal, the maintanance alone on his extra 2 homes eats into available cash flow, mike dunleavy would have been the better fit for this team, les made his money in the stockmarket, he used his entire bank roll to buy the rockets, he desn`have another source of income like other owners do (drayton mccla.) he is piss poor by owner standards, all his equity is locked in the club, he has to sell it, and he is hoping to sell at the height of yao`s greatness, and that`s when he will be rich, (relative term here) but not until then.

You forgot... and he will live happily ever after.

Once again on the rampant speculation front, did I miss a major announcement?

Don't tell me you believe the Forbes report?

Yes the Maloof brothers are only worth $300 million.

    PLEASE

Like you said Wall Street trade, enough said.

Or is Les the only honest one that ever lived?

Partial? That is like saying Bill Clinton is partial to banging young girls when given an opportunity.

Put the bong down. Let someone else have as you have had way tooooooo much. JVG is a great coach for the "old" NBA rules of Knickball. Unfortunately for him, Knickball has been outlawed in the NBA and he doesn't seem to have the capacity to change. If this was 5 years ago or Knickball (God Forbid) ever comes back, love JVG. Today, I would rather have MD from phoenix or Avery or anybody who stresses the freedom the perimeter players are given. Even Riley has changed his Philoshophy to the new rules. When the rules say run (showtime), he runs, when they allow football (knicks and 1st time at Miami), he plays football. We need that flexability in our coach and most people will agree JVG aaint tooo flexible.

I apologize to you because my post was scattered and not well thought out, and I did unintentionally insult you in a way.

But even if you sleep with Les Alexander I can't believe he's stupid. Or has ever looked through the prism of a business model that doesn't even apply to any sport, much less the NBA.

Posts like yours occasionally pop up here. "The owner's the boss and he demands a bang for his buck." What owner and what sport have you been paying attention to?

Les? The Rockets? Even JVG? Seriously?

A healthy T-Mac or just Yao could deflate this franchise's worth by fifty million with one interview. Les demands, er... what?

I never have picked on rookies here, and I hope you stick around, but this entire thread is about speculation and trying to discern reality from a typically great JVG interview and what we collectively know here.

If you see nothing, smell nothing then, fine. But something's going to happen relatively soon. My personal worst-case scenario is JVG already wants to be gone.

But Rockets Dynasty, please remind Les to keep signing those checks because all of us die-hard Rox fans are shaking in our boots. And concerned about what we've seen and heard. Better yet ask Les to invite JVG to the Hamptons for a week (short drive for JVG) and have any person in the organization sound convincing these days... something even you would recognize.

Yes he did, he said he did not want to draft Luther and did not want Hayes because he was too short.

He said that Dennis Linsey wanted both of them, and that he (JVG) was wrong, and that he was happy with Luther at that low a pick and was also wrong about Hayes.

Btw, I remember seeing a JVG picture looking happy at last year's draft.

which would make it praise and flattery on jvg's part, not "bad mouthing" as rockets dynasty claimed.

When did JVG say that? I'm not doubting you here, but I never saw/heard it and I realy want to have a feel for where JVG is now.

If JVG said that a couple of days ago, wow, he really is just figuring how much of his contract he wants (or needs).

I always liked Head and Hayes though and I'm just trying to figure out what form of a lobotomy JVG needs to not say something foolish.

"Disagreed with the old regime a few times, and I was wrong in these instances. I'm cool with things now." ???

Come on, dig that quote up. It's important and it's not like I'm asking for a memory from 20 years ago, but I just need to know how insane things are now.

DaDakota, I trust you man, but give me something.,

He said it about 2 weeks in one of his radio interviews.

Lots of people were talking about it.

He made it sound like Lindsey is controlling the draft picks and that they disagree on players.

People were talking about it where? I'm not in Houston, but damn I don't believe JVG would have said that (whatever "that" is) about players on his roster.

"Didn't like 'em, they're okay now"???

That's not JVG. Somebody is missing something, and it may be me, but it doesn't seem like it.
