Uhh yea, but now it has FINALLY started to wear on Les Alexander and he asked him to be less negative. To summarize, yeah he has always been like that but Les has tired of it and he will be gone if he doesn't put together an outstanding season with TMac and Yao healthy.

I doubt JVG is gonna say it as it is on the radio. If he says he wants a big slashing guard, it probably should be translated reversely.

He might actually want someone Rediculous! ;)

    ...ly gay

Anyhow, maybe Bonzi Wells fits the bill of the slashing 2-guard while M-Will could be the backup 1. And if DaDakota is right, maybe he'll go ahead and gamble on a head case like Bonzi if he's desperate to win this season in order to save his job.

if we are going to take a texan in the second round, daniel horton would be my pick, but i doubt the rox take a 1 in the second round.

Gibson is no one. He's another undersized 2.

The former almost cost him his job in April, I was told. True? I believe so.

The latter -- please define, 'WINS'. Play-offs? 2nd Round? Finals???

And he's skipping at least some of the workouts. That doesn't look like a coach who thinks he'll be around when the new prospect matures.

I agree with JVG's assessment of our team. We need more "starters". We have bench players that are playing starter roles and that's the problem.

This is solved by drafting Ronnie Brewer, and signing Mike James

Those guys would instantly add 2 starters to the equation. We go from there.

Check Head's draft measurements he's 6-2 barefoot and 6-3 in shoes so since NBA uses shoe height (unless the player wants barefoot listing like Yao).......

    so Luther is officially 6-3.

JVg is just being an a$$ and trying to make a point.

REMEMBER he said on the radio he was very upset that Head was drafted and Hayes was signed because they were "way too small"

He also said Dennis Lindsey was the one that had the control over those decisions and that despite his objections they were taken.

It is sounding more and more like JVG is hanging onto his job by a thread.

BTW Marcus "laptop" Williams has a 28 inch vertical 5 inches less than Jj "Dui" Redick.

So JVG's contradicts himself on the PG issue and wanting size but also athleticism.

He also contradicts himself with Brewer and Redick, saying it's about size and athleticism (Brewer) but alo who had the best college career is most important (Redick).

REMEMBER JVG also said he had no say in the draft picks just a month or so ago.

It sounds like JVg wants a certain player and he's been told he isn;t getting him, just like last year it also sounds like it's a player he specifically did NOT want, like Luther who he gets a dig in at here and Hayes.

OK... either you are seriously reading things into the interview, or someone needs to post a more accurate recap because this stuff just doesn't make any sense.

    1) When did JVG say he was upset about Head being drafted and Hayes being signed?
    2) When did he say Lindsey made these decisions? Dennis Lindsey is not the general manager of the team.
    3) When did he say they were done despite his objections?
    4) Specifically, why are people saying JVG sounds like he is on his way out?
    5) About Reddick and Brewer it sounds like you are drawing random conclusions. If I say I like grilled cheese sandwiches, and I eat a turkey sandwich for lunch did I just contradict myself? No.
    6) JVG never said he had no say in the draft picks a month ago. He said that he was an expert on current NBA players and he didn't watch college basketball so he didn't have as much to do with the draft.

JVG actually said on the radio he was against Head being drafted and Hayes getting signed?

Or are you reading between the lines?

    2. Ronnie Brewer, Luther Head
    3. T-Mac, Keith Bogans
    4. Juwan, Hayes
    5. Yao, Stro

If JVG has us wondering what he really means, then he's doing a great job. Why would he tell us what he and the team really wants?

that dude is great on the radio and charlie conducts good interviews. I only heard about five minutes but a couple of interesting notes. he said particularly, "whoever carrol, morey, and dennis decide on". like the pick is almost completely in their hands. he said the draft wasn't deep. charlie asked him do they need to hit on a guy who plays about thirty minutes and he said not really.

Not really is right. They need to hit on a guy who plays about 35 minutes.
