I love the relegation idea! Each year let the bottom team in the east and west be relegated to the D-League, and the top two D-League teams replace them in the NBA. Or however it works. . . . That way you have incentive not only at the top of the rankings, with the championship, but also at the bottom.
van gundy is exactly right you should be giving a tech for flopping and im a scola/k.mart/rockets fan. they give yellow cards for flopping in soccer so its not a crazy thought.
