LakersPride: Look deep inside and ask yourself "what happened to me?" What kind of a tool would start two completely meaningless threads on a BBS of a team he doesn't support? What kind of a tool? You. You are that tool. One day you will reach puberty, maybe kiss a girl, get a job that doesn't require a hairnet and look back on this with shame. Only then will any Rockets fan remotely consider respecting your opinion. Your journey begins now- turn off your parents computer and finish your homework!

Exactly, we just find you fake from whatever you've said before and anything you do or say just makes it worse. End of story.

    Hmmmm....Interesting topic.

    I will play a bit.

Just for giggles...let's say he is right...so....

Phil would probably be a better coach for the group of players on the Rockets, and JVG would probably be a better coach for the group of players on the Lakers.

The difference would be that Phil would win a ring with the Houston group...JVG....not so much.

LakersPride, you've done it again. In trying to cover up your Shane Battier thread, you make the same exact mistake.

I read one of the Lakers forums and I know how mad a lot of the fans are at PJ. PJ has NOT done a good job this year. There is a very obvious disconnect between him and the team. It's weird because I've never seen anything like it in his career. Players like Smush (who's lost his mind), Odom, Vladram, Kwame, Bynum, Brian Cook are just not PJ's type of players. The failure of so many to master the triangle is just killing that team. Unlike some Lakers fans, I think junking it would be a mistake because PJ is too committed to it. This is one reason I think it's joke that JVG on a daily basis is called too stubborn and accused of not being able to work with difficult players. PJ is also very very stubborn and he's having trouble with several players right now.

I said it a few weeks ago: It's possible Phil won't come back. He doesn't look like he's having fun and some games he just gives up on. Not calling a timeout against Dallas when the Lakers were getting dissected. What type of lesson was he trying to teach? Was he punishing the team? That wasn't the first time either. (Of course, JVG gets roasted for the same thing here). Sometimes Phil looks like a grumpy old man who'd rather be somewhere else. Kobe is also grumpy and he takes it out on opposing players' faces.

Either Phil has run out of energy or he's lost some brain cells. This season won't go down as his finest work. LakersPride, like the Battier thread, if you had introduced this subject differently you could have created good discussion instead of ridicule. Some people here put PJ on a pedestal like he could work miracles with this Rockets team when his work with the Lakers proves otherwise. He's had a G.O.A.T. type of NBA coaching career but he's not a magician. The window on #10 is closing.

I'd love to have the PJ of the Bulls or PJ early in his first few Lakers years coach the Rockets. But the guy out there now? Probably not.

It would be cool if teams traded players and coaches together.

We could give LakersPride JVG and Battier for Phil Jackson and Kobe. :)

You guys cant be serious!? PJ not doing a good job!? What can PJ do with all the injuries that hit the Lakers. I think b4 2007, so many beatwriters were calling PJ the "Coach of Year" when the Lakers were winning and at the 5th spot of WC. Then Lamar went down, followed by Kwame, Luke, and Space Cadet. Of course, not to mention Chris Mihm out of the season. Oh, and there is someone call Aaron Mckie too, remember him. Smush Parker is not happy with his pay becoz he thinks he plays a starter role and get pay minimum. Should PJ give some money from his pocket to make Smush happy? Anyway, PJ needs to be a miracle worker to still keep his team on playoff. If these injuries come to JVG, the Lakers is already in lottery. Good job or not, results show everything.

I wonder if Phil Jackson would want to coach Houston. We know he wants to coach Yao. But I think he said that to get him to LA, not that he wanted to coach here. But who knows? If we lose in the first round, we will probably be looking for a new coach. I will take PJ over anyone else out there.

I love how everyone in the "Spanoulis is better than Rafer!" crowd is acting like LakerPride just peed on their shoes. All he's saying is that the Rocket's defensive results show that JVG is coaching better than PJ, and for that he gets called "tool", childish, etc. He might have a minority opinion, but that doesn't mean you should resort to name-calling.

Phil is having a year which JVG had last year. Too many injures both role players and starters. Kobe was out early, and then got suspended twice. LO was out 20+, Chris Mihm out for season, Kwame out, Radmanovic out, Luke Walton out, and even Ronny Turiaf was out for two games because of back pain.

They now even have a hard time to find a healthy 12 men roster. They have to play freaking Aaron Mckie and Shammond Williams. That is a NBDL team right there. And most of these guys have no clue about triangle offense.

As bad as they are, and yet they still have a .500+ record, much better JVG had last year. So I will say Phil does an OK job. Of course I wish him do better because I think he is simply the best coach in the league, one of the best all time.

If Alexander doesn't extend JVG's contract, and Phil let his money go in LA, and Les opened his pocket to Phil and the Rockets sent the Lakers a 2nd round pick................

I am VERY sure that the Rockets will at least win back to back titles.

I put JVG somewhere in the 5-8 range amongst the coaching ranks of today, but the gap between the toip two guys which are Riley and Jackson is ENORMOUS.

Riley and Jackson are miles better coaches than JVG.
