Really now? Could you please explain just how will they go about doing that considering that they are:

(1)Up against the salary cap and Uncle Les will not venture into luxury tax land.

    (2) Only have the LLE & MLE to offer potential free agents.

    (3) Will be drafting 26th in the June NBA draft.

many people fall into his talk,

I said it this morning, JVG is a genious in his own way, he says the right things always, thats why the management had problems of just getting rid of him,
they had to go a bit of diff way, and in this case they tried to give him position as a consultant

Yeah we jump into this whole "potential" game with our players. Of course it would also be nice to see what these players have. Give them more playing time to see if they really do suck...so we can just get rid of them. instead of wasting money and 3-4 years on the bench doing absolutly nothing.

Let the fans see he sucks so they stop getting all pissy.

I do not know how you could begin to look at our teams those years and think they were more talented teams than the ones we were playing. I don't think it's even close with the Mavs. I think JVG got as much as you could possibly get out of that squad that season. I don't think any of us expected them to beat the Mavs...and most of us didn't expect them to take it 7.

Lack of talent is absolutely holding this team back. I respect your right to your opinion...but I honestly don't understand how you could look at this team and think othewise. The 3rd best player on this team is Shane freaking Battier.

One positive that came out of this: I look forward to hearing JVG on the NBA playoff broadcasts. He's good.

The fact that Battier is still on team will save Adelman from being the bane of the board by January. Battier will keep the Rockets in the top half of defensive teams.

I wish they would have hired Jeff as the defensive coach and Aldeman as the offensive coach. Haaa... If life were that simple.........

Go back and watch the game 7 against Dallas- coaching had nothing to do with the way that team laid down... they had one of those games where they couldn't shoot and if any team takes Tracy away and Tracy can't step up and impose his will - the rest of the team has to step up... they didn't

The game 7 at home against Utah was on Tracy and Yao.. That's it, how are you going to make that any different? Tracy had the ball in his hands, he missed, he deferred and we sunk, Yao played defense like a matador and couldn't rebound against Fischer.... There is no supporting cast to rely on around our stars and this is why we are choking in 7 game series... you have to have someone else to give the other team heck and you have to have some rebounders and defensive stoppers around your star players. We might have lucked out and won either of those series but the facts are Van Gundy was undermanned against Dallas and Utah

Ding Dong the Witch is Dead...the Wicked Witch is Dead!

Good ridence Jeff. You were the doctor of doom and gloom. You looked like a troll and ran the most boring and least efficient offense in the NBA.

If you wanted to keep your job you sure as hell should of acted like it!

I guess we differ on opinions. I belive we had the best player in the playoffs 2 years ago and a decent enough cast to go further that year and this. Either way. Lets look at it this way. If Gundy could not get us a decent enough cast after rehauling the roster 3 times in 4 years and still could not get us out of the 1st round, wouldnt you want him gone anyways?? Unless you just want to turn the other cheek and say Gundy had no say whatsoever in bringing in any players whilst he was here..........

I agree with you on this one. a 2-0 lead doesn't mean anything to me honestly. Against Dallas we actually did domintate them in the first 2 games.

Against Utah we freaking sucked and barely won. We struggled the whole way in everygame and had to fight our way back. There is a reason that we were down at halftime in all 7 games of the series. We fought back almost every time just to have the door shut in our face. We don't have enough weapons on this team. Our bench consisted of Howard and Head. Head is a one trick pony. He jacks 3's. I like him as that, but he doesn't do anything else, so it makes it easy to defend.

All in all we needed that 3rd option, a 3rd option that can just score, Mike James, Ben Gordon, someone like that to actually bring some points and energy off the bench.

Bonzi would have been that person if he wasn't training with the michilen man and the pillsbury dough boy over the summer.
