JVG made more money last season than any of us will make in a lifetime.

Well, yeah..I agree. Stashing all those jokers like KG, Ray Allen and Pierce that couldn't carry a team on the SAME team in the East is brilliant. For that core to win 50+ isn't all that surprising.

I'm not pimping Doc Rivers just saying that when you notch 66 wins there's no way in hell your job is in jeopardy.

I keep saying it but I won't stop.

Put JVG in Atlanta and watch the Hawks in the NBA Finals in two years. That team is big, athletic and talented at all positions. All they need is a real coach and some defensive discipline and they will pass Orlando and Cleveland. Detroit and Boston will decline enough in the next two years to not be a real factor.

I agree. Woodson is making a strong case for an extension though. When I listen to him during timeouts, sometimes I wonder how this guy has been head coach for such a long time.

JVG dull persona would where thin by the All-Star break....players will tune him out and he will be fired.

    JVG is average at best.

I like Del Harris. He might not be the best coach in the world. But he's a class act.

Remember when he was coaching the Chinese team? He actually spent time to answer Rockets fans questions about Yao. Great guy.

JVG is a good commentator... hes not the best but hes really blunt about things no other commentators will say.. same with Sir Charles Barkley.

Doc Rivers didn't get fired after losing 18 straight last season... so it's going to take a lot to get him out of the town...

Who would want to coach in Dallas when you have nothing to gain with their current roster and a nosy owner questioning your every move?

JVG is a smart man, he understands where a team stands, he can see the foundations crumbling in Dallas, and he wisely wants no part of that.

If he loses today to Atlanta, or even in the 2nd round, his job is in serious jeopardy.

In fact, I would almost guarantee he gets fired quicker than Avery if Boston loses today.
