ya know....its funnny....RocketLover01 is actually serving a useful purpose. he is showing the rest of our new members what happens when you jump in with both feet without reading up on how the forum works.. One of the things frowned upon in your better forums is starting thread after thread without looking for threads from just days before that you could easily state your opinion in....notice that every thread he has started he has gotten more sarcastic replies than actual discussion. hopefully others will learn from him...new blood is always welcome...just keep in mind that you do something stupid or something against the established forum ettiquette...you will get flamed...thats just the way it is....this aint feelgood preschool...this is real life.

If I am in charge, he gets a pass on this year and one more to prove he can pick the right players (I have serious doubts here) and build them into a team (I have serious doubts about his offensive game), and if the team lotto's again next year, one way ticket back to NY. But, alas, I am not in charge.

van gundy's contract is up after next year as well. There may be a chance that both will be gone after next year.
Just from the way he was talking in the new CHRON article, I dont think he expects to be here beyond another year. With that, he now says he likes the players....LOL All after calling them inept and a host of other things.
Give JVG another year at the reins. However, his decision on player personnel roster moves should be reduced to say 25%.
And what would you say his style of play is? He has never criticized the players directly, only certain plays or overall play in a game.
see that's what i was thinking. les must feel like an idiot for extending jvgs contract. he could have hired a new coach next season. so in 07 we wil have a new gm and a new coach. nothing says we are starting fresh than that.
With a new GM coming in, Van Gundy might have to overachieve next season to stay. Les doesn't seem to be totally committed to him, given that he didn't consult him on the Morey hiring.
