Normally no, but if my star player was out and I just fired my coach? Maybe what they need is someone who is great at passing the ball. Lawson is not a malcontent in the Morris' mould. He is a good guy who wants to play floor general, and he's much better at it than Knight. Plus, he's expiring and it gives Phoenix added flexibility going forward. He's a rental if anything, to promote the youngsters' skills. If they can get that deal for Knight, fantastic I just don't see it happening. Philly is not going to pick up a guy who's hit his ceiling in exchange for two picks. They're trying to fix their culture, not wreck their cap/picks. And Oladipo I really don't see happening, that guy still has room to grow despite his struggles. What incentive do they have to offer the Magic? Could it be that as a Bucks fan you're over-valuing Knight a little bit in the same way that I/we overvalue Rockets players? He barely scores more points than he takes shots, hasn't shown an ability to play PG. I think at this point he's an expensive role player whose future is being a complementary player to star guys or taking lots of mediocre shots on bad teams. Just looking at our team, if we didn't have two established guys in Harden/Howard, I wouldn't touch Knight with a 10 foot pole.
