I hate the offensive philsophy. His game plan is to play good defense and run the ball, but when they play good teams it always hurt them when they didn't play perfect. Last year in the playoffs everything went wrong it seemed with Chris Johnson getting hurt, Fatty Alge Crumpler fumbling the ball doing his best Sage Rosenfels impersonation, the missed delay of game call. But every year in the playoffs it seemed that way. Al Del Greco getting 2 field goals blocked and missing another, or Eddie George handing the ball to Ray Lewis, or Gary Anderson getting his kick blocked.

Its heartbreaking, of course for you it was all probably sweet justice.

I definitely don't get upset when the Titans lose, that's true.

Yes, I have always said/thought Fisher was way to conservative and plays not to lose instead of to win. Even last year when we were 13-3, the games were always within 3-10 pts and there were numerous times when the game shouldve been at least a 14-20 pt win. Someone said it in this thread perfectly, he is a JVG type coach.

6 winning seasons out of 13 is very average. Actually take away the Super Bowl appearance and there is nothing.

for his 15 year career, he has had 10 seasons where they were 8-8 or better.

That's not bad, especially considering he's endured rebuilding years.

    No kidding.

Don't forget that Fisher inherited a bumbling mess of a team when they were in Houston for 4 years.

He somehow made that rambling wreck into a .500 team, too.

I remember his very first drive of his very first game as a head coach for the Oilers. I don’t remember who we played, only that it was a road game and the 1st drive took about 15 plays and 10 minutes off the clock and resulted in a TD.

I remember thinking to myself “well, the run and shoot is definitely gone forever.”

It has been a very tough season so far. Very hard to watch. I think Jeff Fisher is ready to move on. I don't think he will be Coaching right away. I agree with the earlier poster that said there will be a Broadcasting booth position that he will be perfect for. He is perfect for Tv. Hell, I am sure ESPN would gladly get rid of Gruden for Fisher. This season has taken a toll on Fisher. I can see it by watching the games. He used to show emotion throughout the game. Now he is just expressionless just standing there on the sideline (losing 59-0 will do that to you I am sure but it has been most all the games this year).

I think saying "Now this is what it feels like to be a winner". That was a complete slap in the face to the Franchise, players, and fans of the team. Keith Bulluck did not find humor in the statement at all when the Coach addressed the situation to the players today. Of course many of the other players stated it was no big deal or no comment (smart thing to say of course especially if you value playing time).

The Titans need to start the rebuilding process. I am just mixed about doing that with Fisher and not a new Coach with new ideas. I personally think Fisher deserves one more year if he still wants to Coach. He should be forced to make some changes to his offensive, defensive, and special team coordinators (as they all need to go). Of course I am sure Fisher would never do that. My fear of changing Coachs is that with Bud Adams at his current age will most likely not bring in some young promising coordinator to be a Coach but rather go with some old retread Coach (insert Wade Phillips). There are some promising Coordinators out there but I doubt Bud goes that direction. Knowing Bud, I think he may give Fisher one more year to right the ship. Plus Bud will not like paying Fisher and his huge contract and some other big name Coach as well. All the more reason I think Fisher stays another year.

Fisher's had winning seasons 6 of the past 10 years. .600 winning %, thats 9.5 ~9-10 wins a year. Around what Mike Shanahan was doing the past decade. Bill Cowher has a career .623 %

Fisher's seen as consistent know what you're getting type. Though his team's records last 10 years shows they're either really good or really bad, not much in-between. This team just happens to be exceptionally sucky. Track record shows he could hang around and get them double digit wins again. But 15+ years in this coaching era is quite a bit, where a change of scenery would make sense.

Bill Cower went to two Superbowls and won one of them. That is the reason he is considered a great coach. Shanahan won two superbowls and still was fired.

Fisher just rode the McNair/George wagon to a winning record, but I still think he underutilized McNair. He pretty much took the Air out of Air McNair.

I thought his first game was on Monday Night Football vs. the Giants in the Astrodome.

A poor man's Marty. Marty has a better track record.
