Reports out of the practice says Jeff B coached the third team in a victory against the starters with no offensive sets.
Guys on 610 saying that they heard Jeff B went to management in the offseason and asked for a raise. He was reluctant to start over with Carmelo and knew he had his work ahead of him. Rockets apparently balked at giving him a raise and he called their bluff. He’s definitely getting his money now. If not more.
Because you believe anyone from the station that has ZERO access into the Rockets organization? Lol. They are throwing **** on the walls and seeing if it sticks
Great news. This may salvage the season. But he may not be back til the end of the month? The Rockets could have a huge hole to dig out of by then. Here's their remaining schedule for November: @IND @OKC @sas IND @Den GSW SAC DET @DET @CLE @WAS DAL @sas The only games I look at and think the Rockets should absolutely win barring massive injuries given their current defensive issues are the last 3 right before the Spurs. I really wish he were returning sooner.
Nuuuuuuuiiiiice. Now get Butler tomorrow, sign Swaggy P for ***** and giggles, grab Ariza in a couple of months when he is bought out, and let MCW go and we are ready to challenge Warriors.
There's definitely something we're not privy to. His retirement was too abrupt and late in the offseason to not have some other reason behind it. He's 65 years old, but D'Antoni's older than that and other coaches are even older than Mike and still working. So the most likely explanations are that he had a family issue that needed to be addressed(that's been resolved) or he had some sort of falling out with Rockets management(that's been resolved).
Just saw this on Twitter. I have not read any of this thread so far, but can hopefully assume a HUGE sigh of relief and hope for this!!! Roy Rogers was NOT the answer here.
