Are we talking about cut off jeans or just regular jean shorts? Because I have some blue jean cargo shorts (not cut offs) and I look great in them.......... at least thats what the wife says...... damn it she better had not lied!
But aren't khakis' length like all other pants? To me, denim khakis means blue jeans not blue jean shorts aka jorts. BTW - someone who has a blue jean shirt, is that also known as a "jirt"?
Wait a minute! I still wear my neon green and pink jams at home! They rock! Of course, I don't wear them in public... unless I'm going out to the dumpster to take out the trash. But on those instances, I've been known to walk through the parking lot in my boxers, with my franks and beans getting some fresh air.
Your first problem, Baqui, is that you are actually paying attention to what your male co-workers are wearing.
I can't defend my understanding of denim khaki's as a PC alternative to Jorts, because quite frankly I've only just learned of Jorts. I'll do some research and get back to you on this one, but off the cuff... I would think Jorts are jeans, like cut offs, but not cut off by a man or woman, but a machine, at the factory. Given that the last time you could have bought them (I'd imagine) was about ten years ago, it wouldn't surprise me to see the beans when people whip them out of the closet to be worn today (given gravity's pull on all of us). Denim Khaki's are khaki style shorts, like golf shorts, but made of a denim-ish fabric in lieu of combed cotton. We may have to eventually move this into the D&D.
Hey come to think of it, I've seen Kelvin Cato in jorts. They were either really long jorts, or really short jeans.
khaki shorts are a totally different situation. From Saturday morning until Sunday night, I wear NOTHING but khaki shorts.
I wear denim shorts all the time. Never knew there was anything funny about them, until now. Still don't care.
