The Bickerstaff hire smacks of 1) being cheap and 2) an organization that is looking at multiple tank years and having a head coach that will accept management's directive to tanking. Feels like the next step could be shopping Gasol.

I'd say Conley does too but idk who takes that contract in a point guard loaded league. Especially because McCollum (and maybe even one of the DC guards) could be on the move. Sidebar: What universe are we living in that Mike Conley is the highest paid player?
I am happy for JB, but you gotta believe that they know they will be bad and this is nothing more than a stopgap move. I just never felt like JB could be successful as the lead guy.
