Well...the Lakers have never caued this much trauma to us...

    Most notable...
1997 WCF...Stockton with the buzzer beater that sent them to the finals
    More recently..
2007 playoffs went to game seven and caused JVG his Job
2008 playoffs that made T-mac cry...

After experiencing these events and many other Jazz heartbreakers, you would be willing to face anyone else...

so our only hope is someone else beats the jazz for us?

to be the best, you have to beat the best along the way. otherwise, even if you win it all, people will discount it deeply.

and this jazz matchup is not nearly as bad as the sonics back in the day. with yao's improved defense on boozer (hope it's not a fluke), i actually see some silver linings for tonight's game.

Its unbelievable how we can match up with every team in the league, even the Celtics, Spurs, Cavs, Magic, and mostly all the western conference playoff teams, but the Jazz is a total nightmare for the Rockets. We might be 0-3 against the Lakers, but we may match up better to them more than the Jazz. I do not see how they can be almost unbeatable at home but crap on the road. Right now, the Rockets should try at all costs to avoid the Jazz in the first round and hope one of the other playoff teams can knock them off. I am sick of the Jazz.

open your eyes man..... do you see how they pick us apart with their passing, cuts, and screens ? they just wear us down throughout the course of a game.

to be the best you have to beat the best ??? dude, the playoffs are about MATCHUPS. the jazz are not the best team in the league, but are probably a worst matchup for us than some teams who are better than them.

I see it as Boozer coming back from injury and just getting back into playing shape.

Do you think people discounted the Bulls rings, everytime they won it when they didn't face the rockets those years, hell no, not every team gets a crack at every team in the league in the playoffs

i am not saying they are a good matchup for us, but you act like they're such an invincible team that we can never beat. with far less talent, we took it to game 6 last year. a year ago, we had our chances too - with yao being back from a major injury and also less talent than this year.

Look man , Yao is the biggest problem facing the Jazz, if anything this year will be worse vs the Jazz

then why after 1 1/2 decade, there are still so many talking about what if we played chicago in our championship years? or the first title of the spurs in the short season?

i know it's ridiculous, but this kinda mentality is and definitely will be out there.

You don't see the Rockets handing over their rings to the Bulls, they won, that will always be in the book, who cares what they say, all it matters is who has the banner

    why? make your case.

yao is the biggest problem facing the jazz? that's a false statement, at least for night.

okay, basic question - what is our record against the jazz this year? is it 0-4?

Thats been that way ever since Boozer has been in the Jazz, him and Okur tear up Yao consistently. Boozer is shooting shots like its practice from 15 feet and Okur , well enough said. Yao can't guard neither, plain and simple, also Boozer wears him out that Yao has nothing left in the tank. Its already bad as it is that Yao can't even guard that well.

With all their players healthy vs the Rox healthy players (Grady doesn't count since he won't return for playoffs) I bet its a losing one

exactly, JVG would have beaten the Jazz in 07 if he had got scola.
