Can't be worse than Lue or Wards.

At this point in time, I am sure it is.

Come on....SURE of it are you?

A jump shot is not all that hard.

His lateral quickness, maybe, but I would bet his shot is ok.

Ummmm ....Jay Williams said in the blog that he might need another foot surgery too and he is targeting a return for next year.

If his jump shot, quickness and lateral movement are currently better than Ward and Lue's, he would be playing right now.

Well, there are a ton of players who can shoot the ball, probably better than Jay Williams, based on his rookie season.

So if you want to get a PG who can't defend, and has no quickness but can shoot, there are better options at this point than Jay Williams.

A jump shot can be pretty difficult if one foot is hurting!

Agree with codell re: his shooting ability as shown in the NBA - but I seem to recall him shooting much better for the Blue Devils? (Just not from the stripe!!!!!)

Mind you, I'm confused as to why you'd want a turnover prone guard DaD? I thought you couldn't stand that?

If he'll sign for the minimum and try out in the summer leagues then I'd give him a go....

    Stay away from J. Will.

Hard to come back from a injury of that magnitude.
His mobility will be limited b/c physical and mental (no confidence) reasons.

If you wait for all of that to come around, you'll be paying 7 million a year. Now is the time to strike. He's cheap. He had all the tools, and he could very well get them all back.

I don't see how we can sign him because he hasn't played for the knicks yet.

Yet, he's unproven in the NBA.

I don't see the need to spend money and take up an IR spot for someone who might never play again, and if he does, might be no better than a backup PG.

In fact, he probably wouldn't be able to pass a physical even if someone wanted to sign him. As of today, I don't see any NBA teams lining up to take the risk that you suggest.

man the bulls had such a bright future...

    chandler, curry, and jay williams.

plateaued, poor work ethic, threw away his chance at greatness.

too bad. they're paying their karma debt i guess.
