Martz has nearly gotten Cutler killed with 5 down linemen, no tightends, and empty backfields... so I kind of side with Jay on this one.

    Stash the ego, Jay.

Mike Martz has been places that overrated, headcase QB's like Cutler can only dream about.

Really man, hell I've watched him get pummeled since he's been in Chicago.

Cutler is hardly a headcase and I speak as somebody who follows the team regularlly. He's been nothing but professional in his public discussion about the coaching and his O-line.

If you haven't just look at that Monday Night game vs the Lions, he's been through that over and over again.

I'm actually glad he giving Martz some crap.

Cutler will go out and win games for you ... He very well can be the difference between a good playoff contender and a legit championship contender... Give him legitimate weapons and sit back and watch the show!!!

Mike Martz has only been good with 2 HOF wideouts (arguably) a HOF RB/HB and a HOF QB.

Martz is the most overrated offensive "guru' ever imo. His play calling with the Bears is a joke.

What is it with you and defending overrated QB's? ;)

But no, seriously, I've never liked Cutler. He's an entitled punk with nothing to show resume-wise to justify his enormous ego.

Since he's been with Chicago I haven't seen anything even remotely close to this.

Even his teammates talk about how much of a pro he is and works as hard as possible to get better.

You are making blanket statements about a guy you don't follow, that's like me making generalization about a Steelers players.

Uh, he forced a trade because the Broncos picked up the phone and listened to what another team had to say.

That's not the reaction of a professional. It's reaction of a whiny, entitled b****.

Really?... You wouldnt take offense to your job looking to replace you out of the blue, when you've been nothing short of dedicated and hard working... He's human , no matter what...

Hey man, if I'm way off about this...then I'm way off.

I followed his trade to the Bears closely and thought he was a pompous tool. I know that was a few years ago, but I'm also more inclined to agree with Aikman's take on reactions following the NFC Championship game last year. That all the crap Cutler was taking was just an indicator of how polarizing of a player he had become due to his attitude.

Well, McDaniels was a trainwreck. No doubt. But I will NEVER fault an organization for picking up the phone and seeing what another party has to say. This type of thing happens on a daily basis in the world of sports.

    And it should.

I don’t disagree but until McDaniel’s showed up Cutler played and played fairly well with none of this ego nonsense outside of his and Rivers rivalry.

McDaniel’s made such a mess of things that the Broncos are still trying to recover. There was perception of what Cutler is vs. what he actually is as a result of his wanting out but I think most could look at the situation and not fault him for getting out of a train wreck.

I doubt Cutler’s request for a trade was solely because of them calling about Cassel, I’m sure that locker room was disaster.

Since I’ve been following Cutler when he arrived in Chicago, guy’s been nothing but a pro and impressive when the O-line isn’t playing olé
    with D linemen.
