Alot to like about him even if he is a knucklehead he has ability to be one of the best centers in the game if he can get his head right...I would love the rockets to sign him while he can still be had for a cheaper price..sorry you gotta overpay for a big and I would go as high as 14 mil for him if we can get him for a long term deal..

My bad Carl, shouldn't have made the link between her parental qualities and both her sons behaviour and her views about his value.

mcgee is worth ten million... an old not so good dalembert makes 7mill... with mcgees ability and upside he is worth 10-14 and will likely garner something around that...

McGee has looked better in Denve where they play serious basketball, instead him of doing impulsive things in Washington to break the losing mononoty there. Its similar to Andrew Bynum emergence's years ago when he started to "get it", before he got injured.

Dalembert and Camby last year combined for $16 mil in salary. (Thats not what the Rockets PAID Camby in total, just their combined overall salary slot.) Easy to stomach giving McGee $12 mil in that scenario. Hopefully Camby takes some kind of under $3 mil discount. Makes it easier to put money on a good frontcourt player like McGee.

I think looking at McGee's knuckleheaded can detract from looking at his contributions. Again Andrew Bynum arguably is a bigger diva headcase NOW than he was years ago barely above drinking age. Even with his up and games and temperament, his overall production is All Star level. Thats what counts. I'll take McGee stupidly putting up a double-double with 2 blocks.
