by saying that I mean : Clay will end up being a very good role player in an excellent system and he might coach the Phoenix Sun, knicks , the similarity is mind blowing i know

 

Klay Thompson is a B-side player compared to DeMar DeRozan.

DeRozan : 35.0 PPG - 5.3 RPG - 1.3 APG on 53.8% shooting. ---> Probably the 2nd best SG in the league right now.

Klay : 16.8 PPG - 3.5 RPG - 3.0 APG on 40.9% shooting and 10.7% from the 3-point range. ---> I would take C. J. McCollum over this scrub easily.

 

I'll take Klay over DeRozan on the Rockets next to Harden thanks. But you aren't wrong in calling Thompson a scrub this year, damn. He's been awful.

Compared to Harden, Klay is a C minus player.

Klay does literally nothing positive when his shots are off.

 

But but he's the best two-way player in the league!

 

I think everyone can agree it's all mental at this point but I think it's more along the lines of "****, I might actually get traded this year" rather than "****, I can't hit anything".

With Durant on board, trading Klay Thompson for depth would be the smartest thing the Warriors could do at this point. What he brings (3 point shooting, scoring) is being done better by Durant and what he's supposed to bring (defense) can easily be shifted over to a specialist via trade.

It would be something to see Thompson being shipped off to Boston for Crowder/Bradley or Smart/ picks

 

that's what's so weird about his reputation, whenever I watch his game I don't see anything impressive about his defense. He's better than Curry but that's it, Klay is far from an elite defender.

Unfortunately, with so many bad defenders in the league now, an above average guy like Klay looks 100x better than he really is.

 

I really think Klay only looks good on D in contrast to Curry's weakness on that end, assigned to guard Curry's match up more often than not just because he's relatively better. If Klay was playing alongside an another player, I don't think people would make big fuss about his defense at all.

 

I thought he was the 2nd best player in the entire league according to chuck. That's fireable offense in my opinion.

 

Klays a nice player but it still baffles me that ppl had him rated higher than harden coming into this season.

That's so disrespectful.

Draymond is much better than klay.

Klay is the fourth best player on that team and it's a big drop off imo from 3 to 4.

 

You could make the case there are at least 7 MVP guys who literally can fall in any order you choose.

So when someone says Harden isnt a top 5 guy, it's a matter of biased opinion. Just as if any of those guys were playing for Houston, most of us would be vying for them to be recognized as a top 5 guy.

Harden is a legit MVP candidate, but at the end of the day does a stars ability transfer to increased win % leading to a championship. And Harden is getting there!

That killer instinct was what made Jordan, Hakeem, Kobe, Duncan, Legit MVPs....

 

Harden is better than Curry. Why even compare him to Klay? Klay's a nice player, but just not an elite player.

 

As most in here have said, Leonard as B-Side is kind of harsh...that guy is a superstar, just a bit "quiet" in the stardom side, a bit like Tim Duncan. You forget how good he is.

Klay though, come on. Does even HE think he is comparable to Steph or Harden? /smh
