Think about this way, if he was on the mavericks he would still be doing this against us. He loves shooting at toyota center, no depth perception issues

It was pretty obvious that Jason Terry was going to be huge.

Terry has crazy playoff stats, and averages 40% from distance. He comes up huge.

Odd feeling of Terry doing the "Jet" flying motion when the opposing team is the Mavs. It's surreal.

A HUGE performance from our veteran. I didn't think he would play that well. Terry has the heart of a champion, even at the age of 37 years.

    Incredible! Go Terry Go!

    Go Houston Rockets!

that guy killed it tonight! I've always felt more confidence that him and ariza would be able to shoot well in the playoffs for us just because they've done it for so long many times deep in the playoffs. Hopefully this will continue

Great performance from him today, but let's not go overboard. The Mavs and Pelicans are the only playoff teams in the west that can't exploit him as a defender. If we make it to round 2, Parker or CP3 will go right at him.

LOFs got you into a mode where you can't let things go.

I don't expect at his age to be a good defender, I was want a solid shooter and decision maker, something we obviously didn't have last year especially on the bench

This whole season I always thought he was good for a few three pointers a game and not much else.

His performance last night was awesome.

Except the Spurs, where Ariza gets stuck w/ Kawhi and you're left w/ Jet on Tony.

But Jet has been sensational. I think his voice in the locker room alone gives us a huuuuuuuge boost over last season. Just him facilitating that convo between Harden & Dwight is worth its weight in gold.

Actually, all the teams we're likely to face have that secondary problem guard. If you somehow manage to get past the Spurs, you need Ariza on Klay. I think this is where maybe you're forced to experiment w/ Corey some.

you're not wrong. so glad we have the option of a Harden-Brewer-Ariza line up. i can't recall seeing them together as 1, 2 & 3 - usually one of them is playing 4 in a small ball line up. i hope we get to see them with Smith and Howard.

Good Lord, that is a buzzsaw defense.

Last night Jet validated Kevin McHale's season long faith in him that at times seemed less than logical. I sure hope he can keep this up throughout the play-offs. Mavs would not have a championship trophy with out what he did for them. Hopefully he can duplicate that with the Rockets.

All this added time in between games (3 days off before game 1, 2 before games 2 and 3) sucks for the Rockets maintaining their winning momentum. This would only be a problem if the Rockets were a young, immature team.

On the other hand, the added rest should do WONDERS for our vets like Terry and Prigioni. Old people can definitely raise their games for periods here and there, but they pay the consequences later on in terms of recovery time. See Dwyane Wade.

I'm not saying that Dallas doesn't benefit more from this. They do, with all the geriatrics in their line-up. Nevertheless, among the Rockets that do benefit would be Terry and Prigioni. And Harden and Ariza. Those two are #1 and 3, respectively, in terms of total minutes played this year. In absolute terms, however, 36-37mpg is not all that bad and would be less than the season leaders in minutes played last year (Durant with 38.5mpg for 82 games in 2014, DeRozan with 38.2mpg for 79 games). We owe Corey Brewer so much for adding vital wing depth to this team.

Yeah, I think we're going to see more games from Harden with points in the low 20s and crazy assist numbers due to lineups without a true pg. It already happened last night with Terry and Prig on the court.
