lol I don't see how you can even argue lane's performance last nite it was flat out awful but that's game 1, and it's on to game 2 diff day, diff game
My point is that Taveras is not (yet) a very good table setter. While he certainly had a commendable rookie year, he has a ways to go, which is understandable considering he made the jump from AA to the major leagues and due to necessity was here a year or so early.
He also needs to be able to get more hits to the outfield. Don't get me wrong, his speed is a valuable tool, but one little tweak to a calf or hamstring and his average (as he currently hits) plummets.
I imagine he'll do much better next year at getting routine singles rather then infield ones. I think as a rookie he had a crapload of pressure to produce, and he did that in the best way he knows how... with his legs.
