Two huge hits for Lane the last two games. The RBI single to make it 2-1 Saturday and the HR to immediately tie the game back up after the Cubs rally in the 6th on Sunday.
Lane is a keeper. Lane and Tavares deserve a lot of respect for not folding under pressure when the season was on the line. That homerun against the cubs to tie the game was as important as any homerun hit all season long. (this from a guy a lot of people were saying was not clutch). You see Bagwell will be playing 1st base again. So, next years outfield will be Berkman, Tavares, and Lane.
