Rockets being silent for something big

We didn't get Barry, or Fisher. We have passed up on a few oppurtunities, because there is something big IMO. And that big thing is JASON KIDD. There is no reason why we won't be able to trade for Jason Kidd. They just lost their star forward, so we could offer them, basically anything they want besides Tmac, Yao, and perhaps JJ, inorder to get Kidd. The Nets did say that they don't expect much back

who knows, maybe thats a reason why the rockets arent in the media lately, since the trade. IMO

I know the cap - but the Nets could pay Martin more than anyone else too but the reality was they simply couldn't (from a practical standpoint) pay him the max

there is also a little thing called the luxury tax for teams too far over the cap - mu point was why would CD and Les take on Kidd - just to put themselves in the same position contracts wise as NJ is in right now

great PG - but he is injured and his contract is too big and too long (especially with the CBA coming up for renewal...)

Did it occur to you that we have no other players of value apart from those three (four if you include Howard)?

    Are you guys nuts?

    Are you guys mentally nuts?

When Tyronn Lue is your starting PG, and you get a chance to trade for the league's best PG while keeping your two best players, you do it.

Unfortunately, we have no shot at landing him. But this is JASON KIDD. C'mon guys.

I don't think anyone is saying they wouldn't want JKidd on the team, just that THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL that it is going to happen so please quit with the fantasy trade ideas.

Doesn't Minny and Utah already have pretty good options at the 1?

Hey, when did you come back? :)

(LeGrouper, a bit of dreamcasting is fun sometimes, no reason to get upset :))

No one but Dallas and NY would take the $100 million gamble on Kidd's knees.

When has any NBA player under contract ever taken a pay cut? Is it even possible? The money is guaranteed. Why would someone even do this? Why would the union allow this, anyway?

This isn't the NFL, where veterans routinely redo their contracts or get cut.

How could anyone think of trading for Kidd? After all, doesn't Mobley . . . uh, I mean Howard have jersey #5. Have some respect for the jersey . . . oops, that's an old thread:p

Interesting how some think Yao is not compatible with a fastbreaking point guard. Things that make you say, hmmm

Oh well, carry on with the 6 million ways to say ridiculous.
