I read somewhere that Jared was around a +$1.5 billion to Subway's bottom line during his time as spokesman. Jared got about $15 million for it. He was one of the most successful spokesmen of all time.

Also one of the longest running.

He's been doing it since 2000, since he was in college.

He got food poisoning after eating an 6 year-old 2-inch salami.

Based on seeing current Jared pics and given he was still working with Subway before this scandal, the impression I get is if I eat Subway...I may need to purchase one of those "bros" or "manzeers" from Kramer and Mr. Costanza.

Guilty until proven innocent, huh, Subway?

you don't have to wait for a bunch of random strangers to pass judgement on Jared to pass your own judgement.

There should at least be formal charges or evidence before passing judgment. Isn't that how the system is supposed to work?

A private company can do whatever it wants. I don't blame Subway at all for the move. That is a huge swing of bad luck if he is actually innocent.

They will apologize and bring him back then. Like Calvin and the Rockets.

I don't know why I read this whole thread... but I have not laughed once despite apparent attempts at comedy.

I'm fine with a private company being able to decide it's own business practices. That doesn't mean I agree with them. Jared hasn't had any charges against him. Being investigated for child p*rnography is a PR nightmare, but I feel Subway jumped the gun and dropped him without evidence of wrongdoing.

It seems like everything I read involves this Russell Taylor character and nothing about Jared himself. He's a child p*rn guy who's already tried to commit suicide, so he's probably not the most stable person in the world. I wonder if he is trying to set Jared up?

Bring him back in a lesser role, you mean.

He'd go from spokesman to night shift manager at the Kansas City Airport Subway

Charges or no charges he's guilty by association. There's no coming back from something like this even if he's innocent.
