Great info peeps- as much as I’m enamored as many are with Japan - it’s not all anime /manga life- the distinction is the reality many spoke of and inferred on here- There’s no denying they do the lunches (school meals) right compared to the US and it’s also a great place to visit no doubt about that- We certainly can all agree on that I think but again thanks to everyone contributing really interesting topic
you can make it work but just know that teaching English in japan is like working fast food here its a way into the country but also soul crushing lol its similar in korea from what ive heard
No clue, I've never done it. Spain is hard to get. If you're looking at the Gulf, look at Oman. It's very progressive for an Arab country. Same with Jordan and Morocco and Tunisia
Oh duh how could I forget Taiwan! Def go there. My boss used to teach in Taipei and loved it. He only came back for family reasons
Visit any school here in the US and you'll be amazed what these kids throw out without even touching it. So sad.
You're saying it's a joke of a job that people mock, you get shitty hours, your boss is a pimple-faced 22 yo control freak, you deal with bottom of the barrel customers and get paid minimum wage?
It IS a joke of a job, it is really underpaid, the foreigners teaching are not respected, and the expectations are terrible. I don't know about a pimple faced boss, but you will most likely work for a middle aged administrative control freak.
Each of them is going to have to support the weight of a dozen elders, it's only right they get their nutrition.
mostly yea lol its a legal way into the country and thats about it. the important thing from those jobs is securing a work visa. if youre lucky you might be able to get a 5yr visa but youll most likely get a 1yr visa.
That looks like the kind of food we were served a million years ago in our fairly well-to-do jr high. Lots of kids seem to have it much worse these days, unfortunately. How would you like this chicken sandwich? Or these yummy, umm, tacos???
Those lunches are bought by the students so the quality has to be good or they won't buy. The **** served in public schools here is "free" and has no responsibility to any "consumer". Just to whatever corrupt transactions happened to give out a contract. We also pay more.
This is everybody’s school lunch. And one of the better options really. I also loved the cafeteria burrito, I’ve thought about it occasionally.
