ohh come on...I think it is very clear what the OP's intentions were when he said Also in case you lack reading comprehension the OP actually clarifies it for you in a later post.
Maybe because the original post had nothing to with Japan at all? The thread shouldn't be titled "Japan" at all. Go read the first post. Tell me how the hell does that have anything to do with the tragedy in Japan right now. The thread was started by a lil troll who purposely wanted it to be a left vs right thing. Which is the only thing I have been arguing from the beginning. Thread title is misleading and crap.
sure can.. in case you missed my post above since you obviously missed the OP's later post hmm sure sounds like a wingnut post asserting a whole party as not caring. Pretty pathetic ain't it? Again why is this thread even titled Japan?? Poor choice by the OP. Has nothing to with the Earth Quake tragedy in Japan at all.
okay thanks for admitting that it wasn't the OP (opening post) but a different post WTF? what country and tragedy was Kudlow talking about then?
I always took OP to mean (original poster) or original post. Did a quick google search and opening poster, original poster and original post all can be used. A more appropriate title would be "Kudlow's quote on Japan quake" It was clear what the OP's intentions were and it really had nothing to do with Japan.
you truly such are a f*in r****d! you admit that it should be titled "Kudlow's quote on Japan quake" then you say it really has nothing to do with Japan thanks for wasting my time dumbass
It's pretty clear he meant for this to be a rolling Japan disaster related thread. Based on this... So, in other words, all D&D material relating to this disaster goes here. I agree that the whole "all republicans feel this way" stuff is dumb, but the OP is pretty standard procedure for the D&D, and getting huffy about it is kind of pointless. I'm just glad it was kept out of the hangout. It was an extremely dumb comment made by somebody with political clout/background, ergo it was bound to end up here. I guarantee you some liberal stuff will end up here eventually too. To me, this doesn't constitute trying to score political points off of tragedy, that would be more like if he had said "if republicans ran japan, there would never have been any investment in infrastructure or research to help mitigate a disaster like this, it would have been left to the free market, and a billion more people would've died." Debaters gonna debate, discussers gonna discuss.
umm someone needs to calm down. I did not throw any personal attacks at you. I mean the bigger picture. Why create a thread titled Japan to quote one insignificant person and then make it into a all republicans don't care post? It has nothing to do with the tragedy, suffering and people dying in Japan. Comprende?
Are you new here...? What is D&D worthy about people suffering and dying in a tragedy? Nothing inherently. But this dude's comments pertain to Japan. The D&D fallout from this will be politically oriented. Does this surprise you? If it didn't have to do with politics and ideology, it wouldn't belong in this forum. If the content of his post was purely about the tragedy, it wouldn't be here in the first place.
you still don't get it? “The human toll here looks to be much worse than the economic toll and we can be grateful for that.” do you agree that: "the human toll" = "people dying in Japan?"
I disagree and his later post clarified. But otherwise good post and I agree with the other stuff you said
seriously guys? I thought rimrocker's tone was pretty clear. He's a strong poster and doesn't mince words. That's part of what makes him good. No need to water down his words or intent for him. SRF called him out at post 61. Fair enough. No wiggle room needed. Rim's been called out before and can handle the heat. I don't think this twisty bendy stuff adds a whole lot to the conversation.
Okay I agree with that. I'll just let the rest of my posts state how ridiculous and r****ded rimrockers assertion was that all republicans don't care about human life and leave it at that.
I checked his later posts, and yes, obviously RR was kicking a partisan anthill. Which is standard D&D behavior. Isolate one instance of political failboat, use to smear entire group of people, repeat. But that doesn't mean he didn't also intend for this to be the rolling Japan disaster thread. (Otherwise, why would he say he was "starting it off"?) Much like how I simply titled my first post on the Deepwater Horizon disaster, "Deepwater Horizon". Word.
Yeah I agree with what you said.. I guess my other problem is I don't even think a thread about Japan's tragedy should belong in this forum. What does being Republican or Democrat or Conservative or Liberal have to do with Japan's tragic earthquake. I guess the description of this forum is accurate "monkey's flinging poo at each other" so I guess have at it folks
Yeah, there are stupid people all over. There were stupid people laughing at the U.S. when 9/11 happened too. I guarantee you that a lot more people said 9/11 was payback for Americans than what people are saying about Japan. There are just stupid people everywhere. They breed like that. You just get to hear about them more now since they are on facebook.
This is what you're referring to from rimrocker: Get off your high horse. It's only a matter of hours before you would have copied some ridiculous wingnut blog and posted here about how the Obama administration is not responding adequately. You and texx are just upset that Kudlow spoke a truth of the modern Republican Party... people are less important than economic assets. You're even more upset that somebody noticed. I don't see the phrase, "all republicans don't care about human life" anywhere in that.
True... especially the sentiment in the middle east at the time. There was/is a lot of hate towards the US..
Not sure what political party she belongs to, but here is some more idiotness: http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/news/story?id=6215398
