He played great defense the possession before fouling out though. Just a bump in the road that he will learn from.
Agreed. He stripped Monta clean then turned it over at the other end. He made a lot of mistakes down the stretch but he's a special player for sure.
Curry shows a lot of composure for a rookie playing on a team that often gets careless and out of control. If he didn't look so young, you'd think he was a vet out there at times. He probably already thinks the game better than anybody on the team.
He KILLED the Kings offense down the stretch yet again with turnovers, bad shots and incredibly stupid fouls. I betcha if Evans had been on the bench in crunch time the Kings would have won this game. A couple of weeks ago, I was thinking they may as well start engraving the Rookie of the Year trophy with Evans name. Ain't no way now. The race is wide open. I know most of you disagree, but Kevin Martin's return could be exactly what the Kings need to survive the rest of this month and February. He could breathe some new life into that team.
Kenyon Martin doing it at both ends of the court. He's having a throwback game. That was amazing. He nailed a running bank shot at one end to take the lead. Then he stops LeBron in the paint at the other end. Then he dishes to Smith for a dagger 3 back at the other end.
LeBron's stats look like Kobe's tonight. Tons of shots to get their points. Tons of turnovers. They will both probably lose their respective games depending on the last few seconds here.
He's about to lose. 26 shots to get 32 points. 8 turnovers. The player of the game was Kenyon Martin. Did you not see that 4 possession stretch where he was owning at both ends of the court?
Not great enough. That string of 4 possessions between the two teams where Kenyon dominated at both ends was amazing.
I still think he will get ROY. It's not as clear cut as it was a few weeks ago though. Right now it's between Evans, Jennings, and maybe Curry. I don't think Blake Griffin will play enough games to be considered once he gets back. I agree with you on that last part though. The Kings played better without him early on but I'm interested to see how they play with him now that Evans has learned more about the NBA game.
I guess that's the only time period that you watched this game. btw, Martin is a good defender. I remember he defended Kobe very well in playoff series.
Another bad shooting night for Jennings. 1-for-9 overall and 0-for-2 behind the arc. His FG% is now below 40% - Rafer territory. It's been going downhill for him as far as shooting since shortly after that 55. He's right there with Westbrook at the bottom of the PG barrel when it comes to FG% and that's not including tonight's performance: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stati...e=nba&split=0&season=2010&seasontype=2&pos=pg He's the worst when it comes to 2P%: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stati...e=nba&split=0&season=2010&seasontype=2&pos=pg If his 3s continue to stop going in, he may dip below Rafer territory in terms of overall efficiency.
