    Yi with the offensive foul.

    Hornets win.

It was a bad call though. Devin Brown flopped.

What kind of defense was Hayes playing over there?! He lets Paul walk to the basket and then taps him on the attempt?

Terrible terrible call on Yi. Brown ran into Yi and refs called foul on Yi??!

Referees should be held accountable for such a terrible call which decides the game.

was not an offensive foul. awful, awful call. I love how the NO commentators would'nt fully own up to it being a bad call. Just side stepping along saying it...tough call to make, oh yeah right. nets get hosed.

I wonder if the refs factored in Paul not getting the call after being tripped a couple of possessions previously.

Quite possibly, Brooksball. The whole call seemed stranged, like it was planned.

I do wonder though if Paul tried to flop and get the call and it just looked like he tripped.

Either way, manipulating the refs is too much a part of the game, unfortunately.

That doesn't even take into account the possibility of game fixing.

I couldn't believe that the spurs allowed the mavs to get 42 pts in the 4th quarter.

Seems like Dampier shot and made an uncontested unneccessary 3 with 8 seconds left which caused the Mavs bench to erupt. Class act they are.

Parker and Brooks have fairly similar numbers this season.

    Parker: 16.7 ppg, 5.9 apg, 2.6 rpg, 3.0 to, 49.6% FG, 27.3% 3P, 75.6% FT

    Brooks: 18.4 ppg, 4.9 apg, 2.3 rpg, 3.0 to, 43.5% FG, 39.3% 3P, 83.2% FT

Parker's raw FG% is much higher but Brooks' ADJ FG% (accounting for 3s) is higher: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stati...one&qual=true&season=2010&seasontype=2&pos=pg

Adjusted FG% is probably a better number to look at than raw percentages to gauge shooting efficiency.

Brooks' apg has steadily declined since early in the season but I think it's worth considering who Brooks plays with.

Ariza is the worst shooting small forward in the league (among qualified SFs): http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/stati...one&qual=true&season=2010&seasontype=2&pos=sf

How many layups has Hayes missed?

    Battier doesn't do much offensively.

I'm not saying Brooks is a good playmaker. He's not. But he'd probably be averaging another assist per game or so with better offensive players around him.

Parker does play 3.1 minutes less per game than Brooks so the numbers above aren't a perfect comparison. Using per minute statistics would be more accurate but the difference isn't that significant since they play similar minutes.

Rafer is starting for MIA. Rafer + Wade remind me of Rafer + Tmac.

Thats the brooksball i know. Don't be scared, you know i was riding with brooks when everyone was speaking the greatness of rafer. I've created threads way before the curve talking about brooks. I'm glad you're coming back to back up your moniker. BTW, did you watch the memphis game?

Well looks like any Randolph to the Rox rumors maybe put to rest for a while...

RicBucher Warriors ARandolph, after a 6pt, 4reb 1Q has to be carried to lockerroom with some sort of ankle/lower-leg injury on last play of period.
