Where are all the Boki L&A's? Dada?

Yeah, this was the same guy that played for us. Similar stats when he got more playing time in the beggining of the season. Nothing more than Dan Langhi. A few bright moments, and a bunch of junk.

Boki just doesn't have what it takes...hell, few in the entire world do. I bet in a couple years the NBA will forget who Bostjan Nachbar was...if they even knew who he was in the first place. :p
It's sort of ironic that Rudy REALLY wanted this guy after that great shooting exhibition he put on, then we found out that he isn't a good shooter. That should've been the first cue.

Not to knock Rudy's scouting skills, but he was the one who stated this guy blew him away in Europe. Stated that he has never seen anybody be able to dunk the ball from nearly any angle on the floor with ease.

Pretty funny, when you think about that scouting report. Maybe Rudy was drunk!

I agree. wherre are the 80% of the board who was in love with the guy? The 50% who predicted enormous success with minutes?

I think the guy could still be decent, just not the Peja-like success that people predicted at draft day. He's just not as consistant shooting the basketball during game-time. I think with more playing time, you could see his numbers improve playing the 2-4 positions for NO

The second clue should have been, that in his option year he came up small. Man if you have anything, you rise to the occasion in your option year. Boki is never going to be more than a backup/scrub in this league and will probably be traded to Phoenix soon.

    Untrue, he is very consisistent.

He has consistently hit around 35% from the field each year, for both NO and Hou, and has consistently picked up a dizzying number of fouls in limited minutes.

In other words, he has consistently shown that he's a borderline NBA talent, and not worth fretting about.

Come on now, one game....he has been rusting on our bench for 2+ years.

Give him time, give him time.

Right now Lee Nailon is killing his minutes.

Dang Lee, sprain an ankle or something.

    Free Boki !!

good to see you haven't given up on your stance, though I still think you're wrong. I agree that he needs more time and more PT to be evaluated...but I don't think it'll change anything.

Nobody gets PT handed to them, they have to earn it. Boki has yet to prove that he's worth the Hornets' time. Lee Nailon was a 2nd round pick who's played for 6 teams in his 5 year career, almost always as a bench guy. If you can't steal minutes from a journeyman on a terrible team, they don't think very highly of your potential.

    I guess it's true.

But I think it was worth the 15th pick to watch him punk Karla in the playoffs last year.

Doe anyone know of anybody picked below Boki that year who's worth a crap? Just curious, I can't remember off the top of my head who else was picked after him.

Tayshaun Prince, Carlos Boozer, hell, even Darius Songalia or Nenad Kristic wouldn't have been that bad.

The people who started this thread and praised Nachbar after one game and trashed David Wesley. Wesley is giving the Rockets a much needed ball-handler, pseudo PG, and a solid perimeter defender, particularly guarding opposing PGs along with Sura. That could pay serious dividends for the Rockets in a postseason series.

Frank Williams, Flip Murray and Rasual Butler too. Even Matt Barnes looks like a better NBA talent at this point. Though in fairness, the only two people that I personally wanted before Boki at the time were Tayshaun Prince and Carlos Boozer. Both of whom scouts just didn't think would be good in the NBA for whatever reason. I'd like to say that means I have a better eye for talent than scouts.... but I once thought Danny Fortson would be an MVP caliber player and that Marcus Fizer would be a perrenial All-Star. :(
